Forest Turns 9

On April 24th (my first day playing after Big Top moved out), I received his goodbye letter in the mail. He included his picture along with the letter. It was weird seeing an empty spot where his house sat for years. So long, old friend.

The empty spot where Big Top lived for almost nine years.

Cube was talking about Weeding Day, and he wondered if weeds would taste good if you cooked them right. Did he just predict cooking in New Horizons? 😉

Cube: Do you think those weeds would taste good if you cooked them right?

I didn’t play on Weeding Day, but I did play again yesterday. When I spoke to Aurora, it looked like I was talking to a lucky cat instead of a penguin. 😂

Aurora: Welcome to my home, Dr. J! I was just sitting down to write a poem about a compost bin.

Today (May 2nd), Isabelle greeted me outside of my house. It’s my town anniversary, so Isabelle dragged me over to the town tree/event plaza for a celebration. Aurora (one of my starters) was also there, along with Porter and Hornsby. Happy 9th anniversary, Forest!

Isabelle: Exactly 9 years ago today, Jeff arrived in Forest and became our mayor.

She gave me another sapling clock, and we fired off some party poppers.

After the celebration was over, Cube told me he was obsessed with getting a female mask. To be specific, it was the female mask I just got from Agent S.

Cube: I've been kind of obsessed with getting a female mask lately, Jeff.
Are you trying to sneak into Gerudo Village?

Cube offered me 400 bells for it, and I agreed to the exchange.

In an area overgrown with orange roses (and other flowers), I ran into Saharah. I hired her to install new wallpaper and carpeting in my house.

Saharah: I have many wallpapers for the papering of walls. Many carpets for the petting of cars.

I paid her 3,000 bells, and she put in a skyscraper wall and daisy meadow. I didn’t necessarily want either of them, but oh well.

Back outside, Lolly told me she was going to move out of town on May 12th. Even though I’ve said I may let some long-time villagers go, Lolly is not one of them. 😛

See you all next time!
