After checking my mail today (“Mom” sent me a perfect orange), I went up to the Happy Homes Showcase to check out a StreetPass home I got. But there was also a new SpotPass house there, belonging to Helene from Kebec.
Her house was really nice, but what really jumped out at me was one of her badges. She has the gold StreetPass badge, which means she’s StreetPassed over 1,000 New Leaf players already! How is that even possible? That’s mind-boggling to me.
When I returned to my town, I spotted Saharah. I paid her for new wallpaper and carpet, and she installed an ancient wall and a sidewalk. It’s an odd combination, but I do like the ancient wall. I put it into storage for future use, but I decided I would sell the sidewalk (even though it looks nice too).
As soon as I put my previous wallpaper and carpet back up, Molly barged in.
She brought me a lemon to eat. Uh…thanks?
Once she left, I saw Teddy outside. He was flapping his arms like a chicken! Apparently he was mad for some reason, but he didn’t want to talk about it.
After I was done watering my flowers, I headed up to Main Street. Luna told me that Kitten from Milani was my most recent dream visitor.
And at the Emporium, the Nooklings had a Jingle sofa for sale. Apparently the Jingle set will be sold at the store throughout December, just like the harvest furniture was sold in November and the spooky set was sold in October.
The Able Sisters also got into the Christmas spirit by selling this Santa hat. Yes, it is called a Santa hat and not a festive hat in New Leaf.
I bought the Santa hat and returned to my town. Two of animals told me what they want for Toy Day. Teddy told me he wanted something purple, and Big Top asked for wallpaper. I’m keeping notes of all these clues, because I’m sure they’ll come in handy when Toy Day arrives.
When I saw Teddy again, he pinged me and suggested a new public works project: a torch!
This is what it looks like:
I’m hoping someone will suggest an illuminated tree sometime soon. It resembles an outdoor Christmas tree, so it would be perfect for this time of year.
And villagers may mention the upcoming Toy Day, along with a clue as to what they want. Aurora told me that she wanted something black for Christmas. Alright. Coal it is!
December also brings new inventory for GracieGrace up on the third floor of T&T Emporium. Gracie now has gorgeous furniture for sale. This is the only furniture set of Gracie’s that I actually like. But still, it’s hard to justify the cost. This gorgeous bed was 300,000 bells.
At the cafe, Kabuki (an out-of-towner) came in for some coffee. Kabuki is one cool cat.
My campsite was occupied once again today, this time with Elmer the horse. My town is already full with ten villagers, so Elmer had no chance of sticking around.
But speaking of villagers sticking around, Kidd told me that he was planning on moving out of town tomorrow! That’s not much of a warning!
I like Kidd, so I asked him to stay. Fortunately, he agreed.
I did some fishing and caught two of December’s new fish. I caught a sea butterfly from the ocean and a pond smelt from the river.
Luna told me that Louise from Paradise was my most recent dream visitor.
There was a camper at the campsite, and it was Dotty the rabbit. How about some variety? Dotty has already camped out in Forest,
I saw a balloon present (a silver slingshot) flying overhead, about to go over the cliff. I didn’t have time to get my slingshot out, so I just used my net and whacked it down.
Katrina was in town today, and I paid her to tell my fortune. She said that a black letter jacket was the key to unlocking good fortune.
I met up with Kidd, and he was talking about how the trains traveling from town to town are fourth-generation.
He mentioned how the second and third generations were based on the first one, with only minor changes. But the fourth generation is the first one that had a major change in design. I can’t help but think he’s really talking about the Animal Crossing series.
My friend Skye (the human, not the wolf) decided to restart her town. So I agreed to hold onto her belongings until she picked out a new town.
Meanwhile, the other Skye asked me for some furniture. I gave her a leftover creepy stone, just because I thought it would be cool for an animal to have a gravestone in their house. I’ll have to visit her soon to make sure she’s displaying it. Anyway, she gave me an antique clock in exchange.
And Tabby finally fessed up about what everyone already knew: She’s evil.
Later on, I went up to Club LOL to get a new song. K.K. performed K.K. Rock for me.
Skye eventually came back to pick up all her stuff. I may check out her new town tomorrow.
