Harvest Moon

Upon starting up the game this evening, I was greeted to a reminder that the harvest moon festival was underway.

The moon viewing is about to begin. This evening, we will see the harvest moon.On my way to the lake, I stopped at Nook’s. I forgot today was raffle day. I didn’t have any raffle tickets, and that’s too bad, because the prizes looked pretty good this time. A hamster cage, a NES game, and a Mario trophy. Sure beats a lovely kitchen.

Genji: I can't watch the moon with Kody sitting next to me! I can't relax!Mayor Tortimer was also in attendance, although he was only thinking about food.

Tortimer: I'm looking forward to a tremendous feast for the harvest festival.Baabara was also there.

Baabara: You're right, the moon does look like a big fat marshmallow!Baabara: What? You were talking about me!?And finally, Candi was there as well. I stopped to watch the moon (or its reflection). The music playing at the festival is peaceful and relaxing. Part of the song actually sounds like the Christmas carol “Silent Night.” (The “sleep in heavenly peace” part).
