Viva Festivale

Today was Festivale, the holiday/festival with the flamboyant peacock named Pave. The object is to give Pave specific colors of candy (three pieces at a time) in exchange for Pave furniture.

To earn candy, you have to play games of chance with the villagers. But if you lose the games, the villagers will take candy from you (or 500 bells if you don’t have any candy). So you’ll definitely want to put your candy in letters, where it will be safe.

If you’re wearing a matching outfit/costume, each villager that is outdoors will give you one free piece of candy.

Del: Hey there, Mr. J! Now THAT is a nice little ensemble you got going there.I opened up my gate shortly after 9:00 and Yann came over to join in the festivities. To be honest, the games you play with villagers drag on too long. You don’t have good odds of winning most of them, either.

Rowan: Dig in your wallet! 'Cause I get 500 bells, jinglebell. One interesting note that is the northern lights were visible, just like Festivale last year.

The northern lights in the sky above Forest. The animals seemed to be giving me tons of yellow candy. So much that I ended up putting a lot of it in my house since my letters were overflowing with yellow candy.

Bob: All right, in a box! Let's gobble! Let's guzzle! Let's warble! Let's boogie! In all, I ended up getting 10 pieces of Pave furniture. Of course, I did have a head start, by using the candy I had saved from last year. The furniture I got was worth 109,800 bells, although I’m hanging on to some of them in case Yann gets some duplicates in her town that she wants to trade for later on.

Amelia: All right, here's that red candy I said I'd give you, no yolk.I closed my gate around 10:20. Although I appreciate the novelty of having a unique festival in Animal Crossing: City Folk, it’s really quite a pain. It takes quite a lot of work to accumulate the furniture pieces…especially when compared to the other big holidays in ACCF.
