July Fireflies?

Last Sunday night, I played just before midnight so that I could see if fireflies would disappear off the screen right as the clock struck twelve (and June turned to July). They didn’t, although the two fireflies that remained on-screen were the last two that I saw.

A rare sight: July fireflies.

Before I ended my game, I checked my bank account balance: 36,100,000 bells. Just like last year, I want to earn a million bells in July, and another million in August. So my goal is to have 38.1 million bells by September 1st.

Tonight, Whitney the white wolf was feeling under the weather. So I managed to get my mitts on some medicine. Maybe it will mitigate her malady and improve her mood.

Crazy Redd had a pear wardrobe for sale, and he claimed it was the first of its kind to ever be offered for sale. I scoffed at his claim, but I appreciated his (probably inadvertent) wordplay by saying that the pear wardrobe was a slice of history.

Redd: That pear wardrobe is the first of its kind to ever be offered for sale! Talk about a slice of history!

At the Roost, K.K. Slider was performing. I asked for a random song, and he played K.K. D & B for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. D & B.

Goldie said that there are a lot of empty houses in town, but that’s not true at all. In fact, the one she was standing by, was the only one!

Goldie: There sure are a lot of empty houses in town, have you noticed, woof? It seems like such a waste!

Once I spoke with everyone, I started my bug-hunting session. Here, I caught an atlas beetle. A few seconds later, I also caught the cyclommatus on the tree next to it.

I caught an atlas beetle! At last, beetle!

I was finding lots of valuable bugs, and I ended up making about 200,000 bells on the night. Good luck with your bug hunts, and I’ll see you next week!
