Tonight, Friga was telling me about her desire to have the hippest fish in town. That seemed like a strange fish story, but she was really just asking me to catch her an ocean sunfish.

I told her I would try.

There was a new house in town, and I saw that it belonged to Bud. I wasn’t sure who that was, but I quickly found out he’s a lion. I’m not sure how much I’ll like him, but we’ll see how it goes.

I went in to visit my friend Static, and he seemed surprised to see me. Wow, what a look.

He asked me for an iguanadon skull. I had a few fossils in my pockets that hadn’t been identified, so I told him I’d try to get it for him. But in reality, the times that villagers ask for specific fossils are almost guaranteed failures.

I headed up to the museum and spoke with Blathers. None of the fossils were what I needed. Sorry, Static. I tried. I went down into the basement to check out K.K. Slider’s Saturday night show. I asked for a random song, and he played Marine Song 2001 for me.

That song reminds me of one thing, and one thing only: The music glitch in ACCF. That song was playing almost everywhere until I shut my Wii off that time. Yikes.

I headed down to the beach to start looking for an ocean sunfish for Friga. Along the way, Cousteau pinged me. He wanted a new catchphrase to replace “oui oui.” So I gave him one that sounds exactly the same: Wii wii.

I continued walking up and down the beach (technically it was left and right, not up and down, but you know what I mean). But I was unable to find a single ocean sunfish. Sorry, Friga. No hip fish for you.

As expected, I got Bettina’s goodbye letter in the mail today.

June is here now, and that means fireflies are in season. Gotta catch ’em all!

In the city, Del was talking about the marquee. He said he recently saw his ex-wife Yann in there, although he couldn’t understand why anyone would want to see Shrunk’s shows.

Saharah was in town, looking for old carpet. Unfortunately, Lily was the only animal who would give me any!

I had one old carpet in storage, but that still left me one short of the three required for a rare carpet. Maybe next time…

Broccolo locked himself out of his house, so I went fishing for his key. Fortunately, I found it on my first try!

I returned it to Broccolo, and he was very grateful. He rewarded me with a dingloid.

Today, Friga warned me about Michael from the town of Pickles. Well it wasn’t really a warning, but she was telling me that he’s a night owl. Obviously, she hasn’t spoken to Michael in more than a year. It’s kind of interesting when you think about it: Villagers will continue to talk about human players they once spoke with, for possibly years to come. As long as they remain in our towns, they will retain the “memory” of meeting those players.

When I went in to see Bettina, I found that was packed up to move out of town. Finally! It’s been a full week since she told me she was leaving, so let’s get this show mouse on the road.

I ran into Bunnie outside, and she told me she has decided to become a mermaid. I think she’s lost her marbles. It won’t cost much…just your voice!

In the Roost, I asked K.K. Slider for a sad song; he performed Comrade K.K. for me.

Before wrapping up my game for the night, I stopped in to say hello to Broccolo. Now I’m not an interior decorator or anything, but it’s hard not to question what he’s done with his house. All of his furniture is in the front half of the room, making it quite cramped and hard to move around. The back half of his room is completely empty.
