First UFO of 2015

Fang sent me a letter to thank me for the medicine I’ve taken him recently. A blue clock was attached to the letter. I’m not sure how that fit in the mailbox, but I won’t complain.

Twiggy was talking about her old town, and how they used to throw parties for any old reason they could think of. Each spring, they would throw a party anytime a flower bloomed. In fact, they once threw a party over crabgrass!

Twiggy: It didn't matter what kind of flower. This one time we went all crazy over some crabgrass.Lily asked me to make a delivery to Broccolo, and I had just seen him a few seconds before, so I knew it would be a quick job. Once I returned, she thanked me by giving me 552 bells. There it is again! It seems that most of the times I get cash rewards for doing a job, it happens to be 552 bells! If you’ve been a long-time reader of this blog, you may remember me mentioning this before. There must be some significance to the number 552. Or the game’s random number generator is nowhere near random.

Lily: Here... Please take this. It's 552 bells. Just a small token of my appreciation.I later ran into Lily once again by Nook ‘n’ Go. She gave me a bit of a motivational speech. She said even when times are tough, look for the small things that make you happy. And she also had a flea on her.

Lily: If you can be even just a little bit happy every day, consider yourself ahead of the game, yeeowzitch! All indications were that today was a UFO day! And indeed, at 6:07, the UFO flew from west to east. I chased after it and hit it shortly before it could zoom away!

Shooting my slingshot at the UFO (Gulliver's spaceship).Even though I killed two gold roses in the process, that’s okay. I have extras to replace them. I believe this was my first UFO sighting since March of last year, and I believe this is my first UFO shot down in almost two years! That makes this my 27th UFO in total, and obviously, the first one of 2015. I found the spaceship part over by Mallary’s house.

Find the spaceship part behind a tree.I’ll have to play tomorrow to exchange my spaceship part for one of Gulliver’s items, so I should be back with another entry then. Of course, I’m not used to playing ACCF two days in a row, so hopefully I won’t forget!

Slappy Fighting?

The fishing tournament was held today, but I played much too late in the day to participate. However, Chip was kind enough to tell me that Bunnie won the competition.

Chip: Bunnie from here in Forest! Solid fishing! But not so much for you. Nyuuk nyuk!Fang was still feeling sick, so I bought him some more medicine. But he told me that I should continue to feel sorry for him.

Fang does a somersault as he takes some medicine to feel better.Angus asked me to catch a mole cricket for him, and I declined. He wasn’t very happy with me.

Angus: Oh? Why not? You got other stuff to do? Your social calendar full to the rafters, toasty?!At the Roost, I checked out a Saturday night performance from K.K. the singing dog. Usually I ask for a random song, but this time I had a certain song in mind: I requested Steep Hill.

K.K.: All right, hep cats... Hre's a little ditty for Jeff. It's called Steep Hill.Broccolo told me about a fight that Lily and Bunnie had recently. He said they were throwing lemonade in each other’s faces and slapping each other! Wow! I always miss the good stuff!

Broccolo: They were all throwing lemonade in each other's faces and slappy fighting!

Twiggy Moves In

As I started the game up tonight, I saw that cherry blossom petals were falling from the sky. Even though ACCF doesn’t have a Cherry Blossom Festival like the GameCube game, the pink petals certainly make the town look pretty.

Pink cherry blossom petals fall from the night sky in Animal Crossing: City Folk.Broccolo clued me in to the fact that Saharah was in town. He said he gave her a rug with juice and food stains on it, and she still gladly took it.

Broccolo: Saharah is sooo nice. She took my rug, even though it was stained with fruit juice and food!I quickly tracked down Saharah, and she told me she was looking for old wallpaper this time. So why would she take Broccolo’s rug? Could he be lying to me?

As I began asking around for wallpaper, I spotted a new house where Chrissy lived not too long ago. Inside, I found Twiggy the bird, who still hadn’t unpacked her belongings.

Twiggy: Sniiiiiiiiff! Ahhhhhh... You gotta LOVE the smell of a new house! My wallpaper search wasn’t going well. It seemed like everyone was turning me down, including Angus.

Angus: Sorry, I'm no help. If you're starting a collection, I'll start saving my garbage for you, toasty!Eventually, I ran into Broccolo again. He actually had some old wallpaper for me.

Broccolo: Sure, you can have my old wallpaper! I was using it to see if my spaghetti was done, so it's kinda messy.Fang was feeling under the weather, so I bought some medicine for him. Surprisingly, it didn’t spill out, despite him flipping upside down with his mouth wide open.

Fang flips upside-down (with his mouth open) as he takes some cold medicine.None of my other villagers had any wallpaper for me, so I put the one in storage with a previous one I already had. City Folk makes it so hard to get Saharah’s carpets and wallpapers; it’s so much easier in New Leaf and the GameCube game.
