I’ve found a way to double the amount of money you get in interest from the Bank of Nintendo each month. Let me explain. Last night, after midnight, I started up the game and got a letter from the Bank of Nintendo. It said I earned 99,999 bells in interest. I did not delete the letter, I just left it in my mailbox for the time being.
Then tonight, I check my mail and I have another letter from the Bank of Nintendo saying I earned 99,999 bells.
The first letter was still in my mailbox as well, so I know there were two separate letters. I checked my bank account balance, and it confirmed that I received the payment twice. So if you want to double your interest payments, be sure start up the game on the first of the month after midnight, and then again later in the day (presumably anytime after 6 a.m.). I actually thought I’ve seen this happen before, but I wasn’t 100% sure. But because of my bank account balance this time, I can now confirm that this works.
Anyway, I then continued on with my normal activities. I went in to talk to Felicity, and she is now all packed up and ready to move out of town.
Pinky was in her house, daydreaming about seeing her room at the Happy Room Academy as the model room.
I went in Ribbot’s house to say hello, and he asked me to make a delivery to Rowan. I had just seen Rowan outside 20 seconds beforehand, so I knew he couldn’t be too far away. Once I tracked him down, he was happy to receive the cube clock.
I returned to Ribbot and told him the delivery was completed. He rewarded me with 548 bells. What an exciting gift! I could hardly bell-ieve it.

I also went to talk to Rowan tonight, and he said you have to leave some weeds in town, because you need to “work out” every day. Wrong-o! Not in my town, bub.
And back behind Nook’s, Pinky asked me for a fashion check. You’re asking the wrong guy. So I told her she looked sloppy.
That’ll teach her to ask me about fashion.
In the shop today, two of Tom Nook’s three items were cacti. But why? I don’t see the point.
Lily complimented me on my bug-catching abilities. She was wondering if she’d ever be able to complete her insect encyclopedia. Probably not. The difference between us is that I don’t eat all of the bugs I catch.
I dug up three fossils and took them to Blathers to be identified. To my surprise, they made up a complete styracosaurus; it was a styraco skull, styraco torso, and a styraco tail! What are the odds?
I then found Avery just staring into the cliff near his house. Like his mind was in another world. Or maybe his mommy put him in time-out.
And a bit later, Robin approached me. Always be wary of any conversation that starts out like this:
