Pagoda

I was a little late opening my gate for Friday Night Forest, opening around 10:20. But my town quickly filled up as Yann, Olivia, and Jorge came in. The UFO was in town, since I shot it down yesterday. I suggested we all take a group photo by the UFO. For Yann and Olivia, I believe it was their first time seeing it.

A group photo featuring Olivia, Yann, Jeff, and Jorge standing by Gulliver's crashed UFO in ACCF.I also took a picture of us standing by Gulliver. Jorge just started turning around as I took the picture.

The four of us surrounding Gulliver. While we were there, I saw a big fish and I caught it. Unfortunately, it was just a sea bass.

Fishing in the ocean in Animal Crossing: City Folk.Anyway, the item I got from Gulliver was… *drumroll* …a pagoda. This is what it looks like:

The pagoda that I got from Gulliver in Animal Crossing: City Folk. It’s alright. The good thing is that it’s a Gulliver item I haven’t had before. I’ve now received all of the Gulliver items except for two: The tribal mask and the Metroid. The Metroid of course is the only one I’ve really cared about getting, and it still continues to elude me.

After we hung out in my house for a while, we headed to Ables. Jorge displayed some starman patterns that we had plans for. Unfortunately, they were pro designs and didn’t have the star on the back of the shirt, which is what we needed. We will edit them and try our plan next time.

After we left, we went into a couple animals’ houses. We noticed Olivia wasn’t with us. Her batteries died, so she couldn’t move. A couple minutes later, it hit me…this was the perfect opportunity. I pitfall’d her. (Don’t question my grammar there, I’ve officially added pitfall’d into the Forest lexicon). 😉

Olivia struggling in a pitfall. But pitfalling a helpless victim is like eating a potato chip…you can never have just one. So I pitfall’d her again. 🙂

Olivia falls into a pitfall in ACCF.I tried for a third time as well, and Yann was helping me out. But Yann “accidentally” pushed me into the pitfall. 🙁

Anyway, we noticed Alice no longer had the shave-ice maker from last week. After the horrible things she witnessed, I can’t blame her for getting rid of it. The surprising part though, was that Bob now has it!

Jeff: BOB has the ice shaver!I don’t quite understand the logic of putting a shave-ice maker between a candle and a wagon wheel, but Bob is one odd cat. We did some interesting glitching by Bob’s bed for a while.

Jeff, partially merged with Bob near his bed: Ooh, he's frisky. After we were done there, the three of us (Olivia was still not with us) went to the museum to play some museum tag. After the first round, Olivia finally had batteries and was able to rejoin us. A couple minutes later, Yann’s batteries also died. She had to borrow some from a clock. 😀

And a little bit later, my batteries died as well! Fortunately, I use rechargeables and I (almost) always have a spare set ready. At one point, it was Olivia’s turn to go count. But when she went outside, she fell into a pitfall. Jorge got her. Too bad I didn’t get to see it.

We ended our game of museum tag at that point. We then went to Nook’s and discussed the fancy carpet. Jorge made sure I’d never look at it the same way again.

Tom Nook, displaying the fancy carpet: So? You are loving it, yes?We discussed Tom Nook, English muffins, cat farts, and crack. So it was just your typical night in Forest. We later went to Scott’s house, where Jorge did his usual thing to my toilet.

Olivia: I touched the butt. Yann: Good job! Jeff: You people are weird. xDAfter going through Scott’s obstacle course, Jorge left for the night around 1:15. Yann, Olivia, and I went back outside. I talked to Gulliver again.

Gulliver: Many thanks, otherworlder! Be sure, I won't forget the space kindness you showed me anytime soon!We stood on the bridge (and I learned something new about Yuka) and I took one last picture before I ended the party, watered my flowers, and saved my game.

Rooster Drama and a UFO

It was raining again today in Forest. I didn’t have to water my flowers, but I did talk to my animals. Egbert asked me for some nice, clean clothes.

Egbert: I wish I had some nice, clean clothes like yours, egg-layer!I was actually wearing a pattern, not a shirt. But he lives near the Able Sisters, so I went there and bought him a “U R here” shirt. He complained that it wasn’t subtle enough. He didn’t say it had to be subtle!

Egbert: Thanks for bringing this, but it doesn't really scream "subtle," it won't go with my image!I wasn’t about to buy him another shirt, so he can stand there in his own filth for all I care. 😛

Then I talked to Rowan, who said I wasn’t snackworthy. Considering he’s a tiger, that’s probably a good thing.

Rowan: I'm thinkin' maybe the flowers around here might be snackworthy... unlike you!I talked to Mint, and she seemingly remembers the day we all took over her house! Maybe these animals are smarter than we realize!

Mint: But still, a good hostess wants her guests to feel at home, as long as they remember it's MINE.Today, there was no Pete and no other visitors. That indicated it would be a UFO day. The UFO will only come in the first ten minutes of an hour. So I checked at the 7:00 hour, no luck. I tried again at 8:00, still no luck. I didn’t check at 9:00, but then finally at 10:07 (right before I was about to give up), it finally appeared. Thanks to my pre-marked spots, I was able to shoot it down despite the cloudy sky.

Shooting a UFO with my slingshot on a cloudy night in Animal Crossing: City Folk.It was my first UFO since March 13th (over a month ago). It’s my 7th UFO of 2012 and my 17th overall. I’m still hoping to get a Metroid…will the 17th try be the charm? Anyway, I went on and recovered the spaceship part. I’ll give that to Gulliver tomorrow.

Recovering the spaceship part from Gulliver's UFO.Before ending my game, I talked to Egbert one last time. He asked me for a new greeting. He’s a rooster, so I thought I would make give him a rooster-appropriate greeting. Not so fast.

What's the greeting? "cock-a-doodle-doo" You can't enter that!Wow. No problem though, I just changed the first “o” to an “o” with an accent over it. Problem solved.

A Gift from the Lost Girl

I got two letters in the mail today. One was a letter from Drift, in Tropical. He told me I should visit him again sometime. The funny thing is, he moved out of Tropical today, so I couldn’t visit him if I wanted to. The other letter was from Katie, thanking me for reuniting her with her mom in Tropical yesterday.

To sweet Jeff, Thanks for looking for my mommy with me. I got you a present to thank you. I bought it with my allowance! -From the Lost GirlI don’t know why she signs the letter as “the Lost Girl.” Doesn’t she know her name is Katie? And she says she got me a present with her allowance. Well this is the present she sent me. It’s a portrait.

A portrait that Katie drew for me.Now I don’t know where Katie does her shopping, but if she paid money for that, she got ripped off.

Anyway, I then made my way around town. It was raining today, so I didn’t need to water my flowers. I talked to Bob, and he asked for a new greeting.

Bob: I have bad gas! A huh huh huh! Do I seem any cooler to you now, master?I also saw Pete on the peninsula by the windmill. Exactly who was he delivering mail to?

Pete stands on a peninsula near my windmill in Animal Crossing: City Folk (ACCF) for Nintendo Wii.I was almost done playing when Del asked me to make a delivery. He had me take a biwa lute to Alice.

Alice: Awesome! It's a biwa lute!I returned to Del and he thanked me by giving me a kitschy wall.

Del: As a little thank-you, take a kitschy wall. Enjoy, Pac-Man!
