Patty & Pascal

It rained this morning, so I didn’t need to water my flowers today. When I played later on, I went into Nook’s and saw a silver slingshot. I bought it, even though I have one in storage. I may offer it to any visitors I have on Friday. After leaving Nook’s, Patty approached me. She said she was considering moving out of Forest.

Patty: I'm even sick of my house! In fact, I think I'm just gonna move away!I didn’t try to stop her; I just wished her the best of luck. But she got mad at me for not trying to stop her. Whatever, cow.

Anyway, I made my daily walk around town and found a couple of new black roses. When I got to my southernmost bridge, I saw Pascal. I gave him a scallop and he gave me a barrel.

Pascal: Did you ever notice how the moon follows you around? Maybe that's because it's yours, maaan. He then jumped in the river and floated out to sea. So long!

I stand by my windmill and watch Pascal swim out to sea.

A Trip to Onett

A message on the bulletin board today stated that the rainy season should start at the end of June. Sounds good to me.

~Weather Forecast~ Warm, early-summerlike weather will be the norm. If this pattern continues, the rainy season should start at the end of June.I then took the bus to the city. There were no good emotions at the theater, but I went into the Happy Room Academy (HRA). I was shocked at the model room:

A completely empty room at the HRA!Small and empty! What gives? So I went to ask Lyle what the deal was.

Lyle: This month's theme? Hold on. Lemme see. Bang! It's the room that was the most avant-garde.He was looking for the room that was the most avant-garde, and none of the rooms matched the theme!

Lyle: ...No rooms matched. None. Zero. Zip. Nada. Ixnay.Anyway, I went back to Forest and then went out the gate. Ash invited me over to her town Onett. Even though Ash has been on my roster for years, I believe this was only the second time going to her town. The first time was in late 2009!

Jeff: I haven't been here in a loooooong time!I spotted a bunch of presents under the Christmas cedar trees!

A bunch of presents under the cedar trees.I talked to some of her animals. In fact, I believe 8 of her 10 animals were animals that I’ve had before (or still do).

Chevre: Welcome! It's nice to see new faces here in Onett! My name's Chevre.I also checked out Ash’s houses. I particularly liked this awesome room with the Metroid.

Ash's cool room with a Metroid and a throne, among many other things. Her basement is a complete chess set! Sweet!

A full chess set in Ash's house.I wanted to play a game of chess right there. xD

Jeff, trying to pull a pawn: My move? One of her houses was filled with hybrid flowers.

A room full of hybrid flowers. And then we went to try something we had been wondering for a long time. One time, quite a while ago, she shot down a UFO and recovered the spaceship part. But for whatever reason, she wasn’t able to play the next day to give it to Gulliver. So she had this spaceship part and couldn’t redeem it.

Then the other day, she shot down the UFO again. She redeemed the one part for a compass, but Gulliver wouldn’t take the other spaceship part. So we thought we’d try to see if Gulliver would accept it if I gave it to him. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. He just talked about other things and never mentioned the spaceship part I was holding. Unfortunately, this means her extra spaceship part is completely useless. What a bummer.

Gulliver: Oh... Agena! Bellatrix! Chara! Denebola! Electra! Furud! Gemma!Anyway, I noticed on her map that her animals’ houses were all kind of lined up in one streak down the left side of her map.

Onett Town MapWe then went into one of her other houses and hung out for a while.

Hanging out in Ash's Japanese themed room. Her town has a dead end that goes all the way down to the ocean, making for a very tiny beach. It also looks like she’s flying in this picture (or about to jump into the river, haha).

Jeff, on a tiny beach: Largest beach ever.Chief told me to check out her constellations at the observatory, so I did. Celeste asked me which one I liked, and I responded that I liked her ladybug constellation. Celeste said that it may now start appearing in my town. So that’s how that works.

Celeste: Well then, I certainly hope you can see it from the night skies in your town too, Jeff! After about an hour in Onett, I headed for home. I watered my flowers, and I found three new black roses today. One of them was at my blue rose hot-spot.

A new black rose next to my blue roses. When I was done watering, I ended my game for the day. Thanks for the good time, Ash! I hope it’s not another 2.5 years until the next time! 😛

Steep Hill

I went to The Roost tonight to watch K.K. perform. Yuka was also in there, having a cup of coffee. I told K.K. he could choose a song, and he picked Steep Hill. It’s a sad song, but it’s also one of my favorites. I still remember the first time I heard it.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Steep Hill.I also talked to Yuka. But I still don’t like her.

Yuka: This place is more comfortable than you'd think, unlike you.I then went around town, watering flowers and talking to animals. I left the Steep Hill aircheck by Scott’s house, since he needs music and I don’t.

When I went to visit Del, he was talking about how much he likes watching baseball. He then asked me to deliver a package to Bob.

Del: What? I'm not asking you to build the pyramids! Just take this package to a friend, you witch.I made the delivery. It was a glass-top table.

Bob: What?! A present from Del, in bed?!I then returned to Del, who rewarded me with a snowboard. Cool.

Del: As a little thank-you, take a snowboard. Enjoy, you witch!
