I opened my gate for the fireworks festival around 7:02 tonight. Nobody came in right away, so I started stockpiling Roman candles from Tortimer. I filled up every available spot on the first floor of my house with them, and I have a few upstairs as well. Then I checked my map and saw that I have a new villager: Butch.
I waited longer, and still nobody came through the gate, so I left the room for a while. I came back around 7:45 and I saw Patty was in my town. Jorge and TZ also came in soon after. I wished TZ a happy birthday.
We had some fun with sparklers and Roman candles for a while, and then we caught bugs and fish. We eventually went in my house and hung out for a while. Patty was the first to leave, and then TZ left a little later. Jorge stayed until I closed my gate. Even though the night started out looking like nobody would come, my town did fill up and we had a good time.
TZ left at 11:00, so it was just Patty and I for the remainder of the night. Nobody else showed up.
I ended up making nearly 200,000 bells on the night. I reached a milestone in my bank account: 7 million bells.
Patty left around 11:45 and I ended up closing my gate shortly after 11:50. I used to have a bunch of late-night players who came in after 11 p.m. (or later) after the early batch cleared out (I called them the late-night crew), but they don’t seem to play much anymore.
Which item would he give me in return? I was hoping for a metroid or a moai statue. But he gave me…a Mouth of Truth. I like the Mouth of Truth, but I already have one, from the first time I shot him down. So after only four Gulliver items, I already have one duplicate. Considering how rare the UFO is, and how hard it is to shoot it down, this is a big disappointment.
