My first black rose (also my first home-grown hybrid) has bloomed today.
I’m glad to have it, but it dawned on me that I may not be able to turn it into a gold rose like I have in previous games. Because in earlier games, you had to water a wilted black rose with the golden watering can to make it turn gold. But in this game, flowers don’t wilt. Perhaps there’s an alternate way to make them, I’m not sure.
There was an animal camping at the campsite today, and it was Gigi the hideous frog! She said it would be fabulous to move into town. Over my dead body!
At Able Sisters, I realized that you can’t try on accessories from the floor. You can go into the dressing room to try them on, but not at the point of purchase like you could in previous games.
Agent S wanted to help out with Project K, so she gave me a DIY recipe for a raccoon figurine. I placed it in front of Nook’s Cranny. 😛
I found a lost item on the ground, and it belonged to the first person I asked about it: Tia. She thanked me and gave me a sleeved apron as my reward.
Nook’s Cranny had a plastic canister for sale today, so I bought it. I wanted to paint it red, but it couldn’t be customized. I placed it, along with some firewood, next to Rizzo’s house. Just in case there’s any wannabe arsonists around, it would be a good place to start… 🔥🔥🔥
Flick was in town tonight, so I was able sell all my bugs to him at good prices. I wish he was here every night!
Shari was sick with a cold, so I bought some medicine for her. In return, she gave me a henley shirt.
When I went up to visit Keaton, he mentioned me burying pitfalls the other day!
Tia taught me a new reaction, glee. It’s the one with the music notes that rise into the air as we…whistle? I didn’t put it into my reaction wheel as of now, but I suppose it would make a good replacement for joy.
I redeemed some Nook Miles for a ticket to a mystery island, and I ran into Queenie the ostrich there. She’s not bad, but I did not ask her to move to Forest.
I continued making small improvements to my island, and I’m pleased to see the progress in Forest. There’s a long way to go, but I’m enjoying the journey! 🙂 See you next time!
Woke up today to find one of my favorite villagers, Rosie was moving in! Also, do you have a favorite villager? (overall, not just in your town!)

I’m so jelly you found a villager on an island trip Dx ever since I got all the required villagers for the campsite to activate, they stopped spawning on the islands, that or the spawn rate dropped significantly and my luck is bad T~T

You water black roses with a golden watering can and they breed a gold rose. Unfortunately you have to get a 5 star island to get the diy for the golden watering can. But I’m sure you’ll get there in no time! Good luck!!

Have you asked Fluck (or CJ) to make you a model of a big or fish yet? I’ve started a nice collection for one of my rooms – they’re pretty good. Very similar concept to the fossil models from New Leaf.
Also – and this could be just purely coincidence, but since I started asking them to make models, I’ve had some of my villagers reward me with other models.
Yes, I had Flick make me a model of the man-faced stink bug (just because I wanted to try out the service). But when I got it, I realized it wasn’t something I really wanted to keep, haha.
