Telling Gulliver No

On Wednesday, I received my monthly bank statement from town hall. I received 68,500 bells in interest this month. The amount grows a little bit each month.

I shot down Gulliver’s UFO, and I went over to meet him. But when he asked me for help recovering his UFO parts, I said no! I wanted to see how he’d respond, and he didn’t disappoint. First, he said he must’ve misunderstood me…

Gulliver: The language of your people baffles my foreign ears! I think I misunderstood you.

And then he asked again, while also insulting my intelligence. 😆 As you’d expect, this part just loops back if you say no again.

Gulliver: I shall ask you again, using simpler words your alien mind can understand.

As I searched for the missing parts, I stumbled onto this cool view of the UFO from across the river, during sunset.

Truffles asked me to deliver a letter to Curt, and I agreed to help out. Curt enjoyed the letter, and he said Truffles isn’t all that bad!

Curt: That Truffles isn't all that bad, fuzzball.
I disagree.

But then as soon as he said it, he turned around and walked right into a pitfall! 😆 I didn’t push him, and it wasn’t even my pitfall! He saved me the trouble by doing it to himself! 😆

I returned to Truffles, and she thanked me…but she didn’t give me a reward. My pockets were full, unfortunately. (And she never mailed me a reward, either!)

Once I found all of the UFO parts, Gulliver rewarded me with another compass.

Yesterday, Whitney asked me what I thought about her outfit. I said it made her look like a rock star, and she agreed. She said the outfit was a keeper.

Whitney: Tee hee! Yes, I am a rock goddess! This look is a keeper, snappy!

But just a few seconds later, she said she was in a clothes rut and needed to update her look!

Whitney: I think I need to update my look and get more clothes, snappy!

Today, Tank was looking forward to the next flea market. He was trying to think of all the wonderful products he could sell.

Tank: Shabby shirts, sweaty rags, and too-tight pants...
Tank: Man, I have SO much stuff to sell, yip yip!

Remind me not to shop at Tank’s house next time. 😛

Caroline has still been sick with a cold, so I gave her more medicine Wednesday, yesterday, and today. Hopefully she’ll be over this cold soon, because this is dragging on too long.

I posted my latest Wild World video today, episode 72. It covers highlights of the past three weeks or so, through yesterday. I hope you’ll check it out!

Enjoy your weekend!

First Flurries

On Wednesday, Forest had its first snow flurries of the season. Whitney the white wolf welcomed the winter weather, saying the cold air feels like it’s scrubbing her insides clean. That’s a weird way of wording that. 😛

Whitney: When you breathe it in, it feels like it's scrubbing your insides clean!

When I spoke with Filbert, he told me that he left some sparkling cider outside overnight. But when he found it in the morning, it had turned into sherbet!

Filbert: And it turned into sherbet! Huh huh huh! I'm so happy! It's delicious, yip yip!

He was so happy about that…until he asked me to catch a black bass for him and I declined. He was bummed out then. Sorry, squirrel.

Yesterday, Curt was already trying to move out of town! He’s only lived in town for two weeks! Even though I don’t care for Curt much, I don’t like letting anyone move out after just two weeks. (Well, unless it’s someone I really hate, like Jambette or Yuka.)

Filbert told me that he’s the undisputed champ of figure skating. Well, the undisputed champ of watching figure skating on TV. 😉

Filbert: When it comes to watching it on TV...well, I'm the undisputed champ!

Tonight, Bones asked me to make a delivery to Truffles…for a bite. That’s his new catchphrase, which I mentioned last week.

Bones: Come on, champ, can't you deliver it for me, for a bite?
A bite of food? Or are you going to bite me?

I took it over to Truffles, and the gift was a bold check shirt. Truffles called it a “safe” choice, despite the shirt’s claim of being bold. 😛 When I returned to Bones, he rewarded me with some old flooring. Fortunately, no bites were bitten. 😛

I headed over to the Roost in the museum, and K.K. Slider performed “K.K. Technopop” for me. It’s a pretty boring song when sung live.

After the show, I visited Caroline. She’s sick with a cold, so I gave her some medicine.

By contrast, Whitney was feeling really good. In fact, she thinks she’s going to start playing lacrosse! That was random, but sure. Good luck with it, Whitney!

Whitney: It's been a while since I've worked out, y'know. Maybe I'll try lacrosse.

Does she realize it’s a team sport, though? She’s more of a lone wolf. 😉

See you all next week!

Sneaky Submarines

On Wednesday, Whitney told me there are a lot of people in town, but she still hasn’t met “the ONE.”

Whitney: Even though there are so many people in this town, I still haven't met the ONE...

Does she mean it figuratively, meaning like…her soulmate? Or does she mean it literally, about not having met Villager (my 2nd character that I almost never play as)? Whichever way she meant it, it made her start crying.

Whitney: Eeeek! OK, Whitney, don't cry! It'll mess up your mascara! Snappy!

Then again, not meeting Villager is no reason to cry. So she must’ve meant it in the soulmate sense. But the odd thing about that is that just a couple minutes later, Curt told me that he saw Whitney and Bones sharing a cup of cola with two straws, in the Roost!

Curt: They were sharing the same cup of cola with two straws!

He concluded that it was nauseating. 😆

Curt: It was so nauseating!

Pascal was down by the shore, talking about how he hates submarines.

Pascal: One thing I can't stand is submarines, maaannn.
That’s deep.

He says they’re always sneaking up on people. Yeah, I can see how that would be annoying to someone who spends so much time in the water.

Pascal: They're always sneaking up on people.

Pascal gave me a ship deck (flooring) before diving into the sea.

Yesterday, Tank suggested that he and I should get matching leotards and walk around town together! Um, I think I’ll pass on that idea. (And now it’s my nausea.) 😆

Tank: (We should) get matching leotards and walk around town together!

Today, I shot down Gulliver’s UFO for the 38th time. I then gathered up his UFO parts for him.

Gulliver: Thank you, my huge-headed friend. I owe you my life!

In return, he gave me yet another Moai statue. It’s the 5th one he has given me so far. 🗿 I’ve had enough, I can’t take no Moai! 😛

At Able Sisters, I bought this motocross helmet for 1,400 bells. It was more appealing than the other items up for sale.

Mabel: Wow! You are looking really, really good!
Instead of rolling the dice or rolling my eyes, I’ll be rolling on the motocross course. 😛

Two of my villagers asked for new catchphrases tonight. I told Bones to say “for a bite,” and I told Caroline to say “on my Wii.” We’ll see if they pay off in the future.

Yay Day is coming up on Sunday, and Caroline was already looking forward to it. She even said she’s going to drown every person in town…

Caroline: I'm going to drown each and every person in town...

…in flattery. That was a violent way to say that. 😛

Today, I posted my latest Wild World video episode, #71. It features highlights from the past month or so in town, with some additional puns that weren’t in the blog. Please check it out!

I’ll see you all next week! Have a great weekend!
