Today, my white mailbox was installed on my house. It fits my astro theme better than my old red one did. It’s too bad there’s not an astro mailbox, though.
Copper told me that there was a storm brewing off the coast, which means Gulliver will be washed up on the shore. So I headed down to the beach and found the confused gull.
He told me he was headed to the land of ninjas and samurais. Clearly, he was headed to Japan.
And then I found a construction site where a new villager is moving in. It’s going to be Canberra’s house.
A quick Google search revealed that Canberra is a koala. And an ugly koala at that. Now just two days ago, I was bad-mouthing the koalas in Animal Crossing games, saying they’re not cute like real koalas and I don’t like them. And now I get an ugly koala of my own. I guess that’s koala karma. And I should mention that Canberra is named after an Australian city, much like other Animal Crossing koalas Sydney, Melba (Melbourne), and Alice (Alice Springs).
Anyway, I soon headed up to Main Street. Gabi and Tabby were again hanging out together; I tried to avoid them as much as possible. Nook Homes had this stainless mailbox for sale. Even though I just got my white mailbox today, I figured this one would match my astro exterior even better, so I went ahead and bought it.
And the Able Sisters had this spade shirt for sale. The spade itself is blue, so it still matches my cap and shorts, so I bought it as well.
In Labelle’s portion of the shop, there was a fencing mask for sale. I sprung for it, even though I don’t have immediate plans of using it. I could see it coming in handy during a Wi-Fi game, like if one person is the “killer” or if I want to hide my face because of a bee sting.
Molly wanted to visit my house, so we arranged a time. When the time came, I gave her a tour of all my rooms. She really liked my sleek bed.
And in my modern wood room, she was barely through the door when she smelled my pumpkin pie and commented on it.
My “fake rock” for the day gave me a gold nugget. I had two in storage already, so I took the three of them to Cyrus at Re-Tail. He turned them into a golden table.
And Alli suggested a new public works project (PWP) today. Unfortunately, it was just a streetlight.
It didn’t sound very exciting to begin with, but it looks even worse than I imagined.
And later, I remembered that I never showed a picture of the jungle gym that Big Top suggested a couple weeks ago. So here’s a picture of that.
That’s all for now, but I’ll be back with more tomorrow. And remember, August is winding down, so you only have a few days left to catch a lot of the summer bugs and fish. Good luck and happy hunting!
And today, as I was making my rounds, I spotted a lost item on the ground.
Fortunately, it didn’t take me too long to find the rightful owner. It belonged to Big Top, who had written his name on the back of it. Why didn’t I think to look there?
After finishing up my tasks around town, I went up to Main Street to shop. T.I.Y. had a six lamp, which I bought. I want to get all of the number lamps so that I’ll have them if/when I need them. Certainly they’ll be helpful on New Year’s.
And Tabby is apparently feeling better, since she was out shopping.
But Tabby wasn’t the only animal I ran into in Able Sisters. Gabi was there too! And they started nibbling on my ears! Nooooooo!!
I was so horrified that I lost my mind for a while. To protect myself from evil creatures, I put a hamburger on my head. It made sense at the time.
Over in Nook Homes, I decided to buy this white mailbox. My current one is red and doesn’t match my astro exterior very well.
When I went back to town, Alli really insulted me. She said I look like a zombie!

Then today, my first perfect peach tree had a new batch of perfect peaches for me. But when I shook them down, the tree died!
So I replanted one of the perfect peaches.
So I turned around and gave the package to Rolf.
I love easy deliveries like that. Anyway, I continued around town and I spotted a tent at the campsite. Anicotti the mouse was camping there. I don’t want her.
Over by my town tree, I found two items that someone left on the ground from last night.
Just a tip for people on my roster, and this applies to ACCF as well as New Leaf. It may be nice to offer items to people, but if nobody wants them, pick them back up. Do not just leave them there, please.
Actually I’m kidding about that. A mosquito happened to bite me at the very instant that I took the picture. The blade can’t really hit you. 😛
This is what it looks like. I have no plans on installing this in my town.
After that, I went up to Main Street for my shopping run. In T.I.Y., I spotted yet another former villager of mine: Yuka! Yuck! It feels like I never escape Forest’s ugly past! Even though real-life koalas are cute, I’m not a big fan of them in Animal Crossing.
Well at least Katt hasn’t shown up on Main Street yet. But I did buy a new carpet and wallpaper for my back room. It’s not ideal and it’s not going to be permanent, but it looks better than what I had in there before.
Aurora asked me for some new furniture. I tried catching a fish (a black bass) and tried giving it to her. But she said she wanted something she didn’t already own. Oops. So I bought a hospital TV from Re-Tail (it was only 700 bells) and gave that to her instead. She thanked me and gave me a modern wood chest! This was a piece that I needed for my modern wood room, so that’s great news! Unfortunately, that room is still 4×4 and it’s very crowded in there. But once I expand it, it’s going to look really nice.
A new SpotPass house was sent out by Nintendo today. It belongs to Reiko from Biscotti. Her main room is your typical library with a shark tank. Wait, what?
The rest of the house was nice, but nothing particularly noteworthy…except the basement. Somebody better call Fire Marshall Bill, because this is a major fire hazard. A room filled with wheat fields, with an open flame next to a scarecrow. I think Reiko’s next home is going to be a tent.
