Late last night, Big Top offered to sell me his stool! It was pink and velvety. 😮
I declined, but then he offered it to me for a lower price and I bought it. Just to have it in my catalog (well, and to help him out).
Then today, I was in the police station and I saw a tricky pitfall seed for the first time.
If you don’t know, it functions the same as a regular pitfall seed, but the “x” mark is smaller. Apparently that makes it tricky. Tricky. Tricky, tricky, tricky. Here’s a comparison, showing the tricky pitfall seed on the left and a regular pitfall seed on the right.
As you can see, it was raining in town today. But I still went fishing and I caught my first giant snakehead.
As expected, Teddy the teddy bear moved in today. I went to his house to welcome him to Forest.
Outside, I found a lost item–a book. I went around asking everyone who it belonged to. Eventually, I found the careless critter who dropped it:
But she can’t even read! It must be a picture book. Anyway, she thanked me and gave me a spa chair as a reward. After that, Aurora approached me, asking for a new greeting. So I told her to say “I got happy feet.”
I promptly picked nine perfect peaches, and Wendy let me sell them in her town. I got 27,000 bells for them all.
Then at 10:00, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Wendy, Meli, and Peyton came over to visit. After a quick shopping run, we danced at Club LOL.
Even Aurora was getting into it. Shake that penguin butt! Flap those wings!
We hung out at my house, and then went outside. I dropped a couple of fountain fireworks and set myself on fire.
After beating Tabby with nets and hammers for a while, we took a trip to the island. We did the market-value bug tour and caught 69,690 bells worth of bugs. That was good for a silver medal, which isn’t bad considering Wendy was away from her game and didn’t participate.
We caught some bugs and fish on the island, and then returned to Forest. Earlier in the day, Tabby asked me for an apple. But I didn’t have any apples (I had already sold my fruit for the day), so I just ignored her request. But when I talked to her tonight, I had forgotten about the earlier request. So when there was an option that said “I brought it,” I was thinking it was a request for furniture. So I gave her a fruit beetle I had. She got upset that I was giving her a bug to eat!
And shortly after that, she had changed subjects. She was talking about how she put on too much blush and Molly was laughing at how she looks. Tabby, everyone laughs at how you look. Except for those who are frightened and run away.
So she said she may never use blush again. Yeah right, and Nook will charge reasonable prices for home upgrades too.
Shortly before midnight, Peyton had to leave and Valeria came in. Wendy, Meli, and I watched the modern clock at the stroke of midnight.
And we went into town hall to bug Isabelle. We were telling her to “fetch” and things like that. But it wasn’t all mean, I left her a bowl of Puppy Chow on my desk.
We had a good time and I ended the party around 12:30. Have a great weekend, everyone!
In City Folk, black roses looked more like a dark purple, so I didn’t recognize it as a black rose in New Leaf.
And the campsite is occupied once again, this time by Vesta. She’s nice and all, but she’s not my favorite sheep, so I’m not going to ask her to move in.
I also spotted Gracie over by the town tree. But she was wanting me to wear flashy clothes for a fashion check. I don’t have anything in terms of flashy clothes, so I didn’t have a chance.
And I got a letter in the mail from Gulliver over in China. He sent me this red-tasseled lantern, which I put into my museum exhibit.
But soon after this, a problem popped up: The “photo limit has been reached” issue returned. So I tried
My favorite room of hers was this library.
A bit later, I decided to try to finally catch that petaltail dragonfly I’ve needed. After 20-30 minutes of searching, I finally saw one. It was surprisingly easy to catch!
They were so difficult to catch in City Folk, but they seem to move much slower in New Leaf. At any rate, I’m glad to finally get that petaltail dragonfly. And this marks the first time that my insect collection is larger than my fish collection. This is my 57th insect, and I’ve caught 56 fish.
After donating it to the museum, I remembered to take a look at my concrete fence. I don’t like it.
And after a quick trip to the island, I returned to find Phineas. He gave me the insect encyclopedia badge, which is a silver badge.
I went to the cafe today, and Tabby was there, hoping the steam from her coffee would moisturize her face. She told me she loves beauty tips…good thing, because she needs all the tips she can get.
I then went to the other side of the counter to work my shift. An animal came in that I haven’t seen before, and I thought it was Miss Piggy at first! Turns out it’s not even female. I wonder if Nintendo has a certain guy in charge of designing ugly animals. If so, he’s good at his job!
Even though I guessed wrong on Chops’ coffee beans, I got the other three customers’ orders perfect and I earned superb coffee beans for the day.
But while I was on the beach, I took a look at the view of my new lighthouse from the dock.
I then headed back up to town. Rolf approached me and asked if I wanted to play hide-and-seek. He was acting pretty cocky. He’s a cool-looking animal and I like him, but his personality rubs me the wrong way sometimes.
I had ten minutes to find Rolf, Benedict, and Alli. The first one I found was Rolf, hiding behind my modern clock. Smart move, buddy.
I actually found Alli down on the beach, hiding behind a banana tree.
And Benedict was hiding behind Alli’s house.
For winning the game, Rolf gave me a kiddie wall. It’s kind of funny that he has picked up Benedict’s catchphrase, buhk buhk. I almost expected him to show me his version of the chicken dance.
Next, I made my way over to town hall. I made sure to attend the completion ceremony for the lighthouse. But Molly was the only villager that showed up!
Alli then asked me to make a delivery for her. No problem, airhead.
With that task complete, I went up to Main Street. Gabi’s presence hasn’t meant the end of Harry; I’m seeing them both up there now! Anyway, in Nook Homes, I decided to try out the concrete fence. I’ll have to see how it looks tomorrow.
And my last stop was a trip to the island. The island finally had the hide-and-seek game I’ve been looking for! Of course, I just played hide-and-seek in my town! But in the island tour, at least I can run around without having to worry about the flowers. So I played one game of it (the easy variation). I found all four villagers in under three minutes and earned a gold Tortimer award and seven medals.
