This morning, as I began my search for Joan, I was pinged by Tia. She told me she wants to move out on May 23rd.
Life around Forest has felt a bit stale lately, with no new villagers–especially when I already have everyone’s villager pic already. So I decided to let her go. I’m planning on giving to her to my friend Patty.
Tia’s moving on Friday, but I want to get her adopted before I open my gate for Friday Night Forest. So if anyone’s interested in being a backup to get Tia (in case I’m unable to give her to Patty for any reason), please contact me somewhere such as Youtube, Tumblr, or Facebook.
A few minutes after speaking with Tia, I ran into Joan. She was selling turnips for 103 bells each today. I bought 1,200 of them.
I went in the Emporium to take a look at the throne in my catalog. The Nooklings’ normal selling price is 800,000 bells. So it’s not quite a million bells, but it’s still a very expensive item to be receiving from a villager.
After taking a break from the game, I picked it back up later in the day. At the Dream Suite, I saw that Ash from Hazakura was my most recent dream visitor. Hey, I know her! That’s the Ash on my friend roster, the one who kicks everyone’s butt at Mario Kart! 😀 So that was a nice surprise.
I went into the Happy Homes Showcase to check out a StreetPass I got yesterday, and it was Ian again. I always get good gifts from him, since I’ve passed him so many times. This time, he gave me a heart i. balloon (the “i” stands for indigo).
I gave away my previous gift from Ian, my matcha soft-serve ice cream cone, to Bacon from Mordor.
When I returned, I visited Agent S, and she asked me to bring Tia to her. Maybe she wants to adopt Tia!
So I tracked down the teapot elephant and brought her back. Agent S said she found something floating in the river that reminded her of Tia.
It turns out Tia had dropped the item in the river. Unfortunately, they never revealed what the item was.
After that, I finished my day with a trip out to the island and back.

When I made my way over to Chip at the plaza, I heard the bad news. This tournament isn’t about catching the biggest fish you can; it’s about catching black bass. So the sea bass and shark I caught last night won’t do me any good.
Kidd had the lead with a 21.45 inch black bass, and it took me about 15 minutes of fishing to beat it. Once I did, Chip gave me a puffer-fish TV as a reward.
A few minutes later, I topped that fish with a 22.4 inch fish. This time, Chip gave me a flounder table. The competition was only 15 minutes from ending, so I stopped my search at that point. Later on, I returned to the game for the winners ceremony. My fish remained in the top spot, and I won the tournament!
Kidd remained in second place and Molly got third. There was only about an inch difference between all of our fish, so it was a very close competition.
In the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Hendrix from Okinawa was my most recent dream visitor.
I went out to the island (by myself) and decided to go on an official scavenger hunt tour. I had six minutes to find the three items on my list. I found them all in exactly two minutes and I won 13 medals and a gold Tortimer award.
When I returned home, I took a look at two of T. Zelda’s recent designs: A SmashBall (from Super Smash Bros.) and a Rosalina tile. If you’d like these designs (or others), they are available on the
And by a different bridge, Big Top was telling me that Aurora has ticklish feet. But Aurora was just across the river, and I’m pretty sure she heard him say it.
The shops were already closed by the time I started playing tonight (except for Re-Tail). But I opened my gate at 10:00 for Friday Night Forest and Rae came over to visit. We went in my house and I showed her my new throne.
She tried stealing my throne, but it was bolted to the floor, so she didn’t get far. I saw that she was wearing a blue cap, so I got my own blue cap out of storage. It’s Rae and Jae!
T. Zelda also came over to visit, and we did the tree stump glitch.
After that, we went to my
I was playing around with a bunch of hats and accessories I had in storage. I used my “demon cow” mask to scare TZ. 😀
We also hung out in my frigid upstairs room, where Rae was listening to (and singing) songs from Frozen.
And I continued to get different hats out of my storage to try on.
I even did my impression of Fi.
After a while, we headed out to the island. We started out with a butterfly-catching tour, and Rae and I tied for the win. Go blue team!
We also went on a balloon-popping tour, an item-matching tour, and a fishing tour. I did pretty well tonight, but T. Zelda won the last fishing tour.
The fishing tournament is tomorrow, so I thought we could try to get a head start by catching some fish on the island. I caught several sea bass and a hammerhead shark, so hopefully I’ll be able to use them in the competition tomorrow.
