Snowy Friday Night Forest

Yesterday, Agent S asked me for a peach. 20151210_HNI_0075I gave her a perfect one, and she seemed surprised that I found it up a tree. Anyway, she gave me some plate armor as my reward.

A big snowstorm covered the ground with snow today. It will stay that way until February 25th. Even though I’m not a big fan of winter in real life, it is a bit exciting when the world of Animal Crossing gets a frosty white coating. I wasted no time–I found two snowballs and rolled them together to make a snowmam. She was perfect!

In terms of making money quickly, a perfect snowmam is the best snowperson you can build. Three snowflakes can be exchanged for ice furniture, which sells for 8,888 bells apiece.

When I updated my dream town (dream address 4300-2003-9889), Luna told me my most recent dream visitor was Milky from Brinsoke.

At 10:05 tonight (I was a few minutes late), I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. BranDex and Squishy came over to visit. We made our way over to the snowmam; Squishy said the snowmam’s eyes looked like paw prints. But I was just thinking about how short my friends are.

Pashmina revealed her secret to conversation (or Nintendo’s secret of villager dialoague): Just talk about the weather!

20151211_HNI_0006We all went down to the beach, and I was trying to tell Daisy to join us–or at least take the time to look at us all. I wanted her to unleash her potential. But she just kept wandering around aimlessly like a lost dog.

20151211_HNI_0009We started talking about future Animal Crossing games, and Squishy joked that the next one would be a golf game. I actually had the same thought when I saw one of the loading screens in Happy Home Designer–it shows Tom Nook swinging a golf club! Let’s hope they stop goofing around with spin-offs and announce the next real Animal Crossing game.

I bought myself a coffee and sat on the metal bench for a while; that metal bench sure is cold in winter! But this is the one time of year that my illuminated tree doesn’t look out-of-season. Tis the season to be illuminated.

20151211_HNI_0011I got my beans out and made soup started throwing them in everyone’s eyes. Squishy, now wearing a Santa suit, told me I was on the naughty list.

20151211_HNI_0027But I couldn’t resist the opportunity to get a rare picture of Big Top’s eyes. Doesn’t his visor protect his eyes, though?

20151211_HNI_0021On the bridge, we completed a snowflake Triforce.

20151211_HNI_0028Around 11:15, I ended the session for the night. Thanks for coming, BranDex and Squishy! And thank you all for visiting the blog. I hope you have a great weekend!

    1. I haven’t been playing it much lately, but there will be more blog entries about it at some point. It won’t be here though, it’ll be on the gaming blog.

  1. Hi Jeff, I love the blogs, keep up the good work! Just a question, will you be doing any more blogs on specific games? Like New Leaf, City Folk, etc? I seem to recall you saying you will be doing a Harvest Moon blog, but I’m not really sure.

  2. Hi Jeff. My son likes your blog. Also do you a 3ds XL and ACNL would be a good gift for him for Christmas? He did like ACCF but since wifi was shut down its not as fun anymore. If you think this is good where should I get it at?

    1. Yes, a 3DS XL and ACNL would be a great gift! Pretty much anywhere would be good–I usually buy my games at Best Buy, but you could also try toy stores, department stores, or online stores like Amazon. I’m not aware of any current sales, but maybe you can find a good deal somewhere. Good luck!

          1. No, I mean they can also buy a USED 3DS, and with the e-shop can get the game, you don’t have to buy physical copies of games like New Leaf anymore, you can download them.

            1. A used 3DS is always a possibility, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Portable systems generally take a lot more abuse than home systems, so I’d recommend buying new hardware if at all possible.

  3. I love the snowy season in Animal Crossing, because the snow looks very pretty. I love making snowpeople too! Everything is great about winter, except for how frigid it can get. Brrrrr…

  4. Speaking of the next real Animal Crossing game, Josh Thomas of the TheBitBlock (youtube channel) thinks they’re going to skip the Wii U for the next one, so he made a mock video of game play showing his ideas of what a Wii U AC game could be (Make Believe)- they’re quite good if you’ve never seen them.

However, he made a good point when he had a discussion with RogersBase a while ago. He said that if NX does get the next game in the franchise (assuming the rumors of a handheld/console hybrid are true) then it could potentially please both sets of fans- those who love the console versions, and those who love the handheld versions.

Personally, I think if the NX really does debut next year, then there’s no chance we’re getting an actual Wii U AC game. 🙁 I’m trying to hold out hope though, it would kind of blow to have AF as the only one, but hey, at least we got something I guess (try to stay positive). I’ve also been playing the series since 2002, and I have all 6 NA games, so I’ll get whatever their next one is, even if it is that horrible golf game (PLEASE NO)! LOL

    1. IMHO I cannot see Nintendo developing any more Animal Crossing games for this generation. They have 2 on the 3DS and 1 on WiiU now. It is NX they are working on for a future Animal Crossing game. I also think that New Leaf 2: Happy Home Designer and Spend All Your Money Buying Amiibo Just For Amiibo Festival are the games that will hold us over until they can get that full length one for NX done. It’s clear they threw both of these together quickly.

  5. You gave me inspiration to start my own blog, trainiaxnewleaf.blog.com. Thank you Jeff, if it weren’t for you, I probably would never even think twice about blogging.

  6. Wow, it sounds like you had fun. I love the punniness xD –
” But I was just thinking about how short my friends are.” My brother is like that IRL. He’s about 6′ 1″ and towers above me (5′ 9″). Well, only by a couple of inches, but still. I look up, and I remember the time when I used to look down on him, instead of the other way round. Haha.
