Completing the Fossil Collection

Late last night, Wendy came over to see my video screen.

Then today, I saw Phineas in town. I was expecting him to give me a silver insect badge, but he didn’t. Instead, he gave me the “Great Samaritan” badge for helping out lots of animals. This is my first silver badge.

I also saw Aurora near my house, and she was talking about how she jumps into other worlds.

And I got a letter in the mail from the Happy Homes Academy. My house score topped 30,000 HHA points, so they sent me an HHA jacket.

I then went to work at the cafe. While there, I saw an unusual looking out-of-town customer, Paula.

There was a gem rock instead of a money rock today, and it included one gold nugget. I also had two gold nuggets in storage, so I took them all to Cyrus to have him make a piece of gold furniture out of them.

I also bumped into Molly, and she asked me to bury her time capsule.

As I continued my walk, I saw a perfect peach! It’s my first one in over three months! This time, I was sure to plant it.

Katrina was in town, so I went inside to have her tell my fortune.

She told me a cap was the key to avoiding misfortune. I was already wearing a cap, so I was safe.

After finding my daily fossils, I took them up to the museum. Blathers assessed them all and found something new! It was a parasaur torso, and that was the final fossil I needed. My fossil collection is now complete! 😀

I also went up  to the Happy Homes Showcase to check for new homes there, and there actually was one! The house belonged to Cory from Kihei, and it was a SpotPass home sent out by Nintendo. The main floor was a Pikmin-themed room, apparently to promote the recent release of Pikmin 3.

The upstairs seemed to be a Donkey Kong themed room, complete with bongos and tons of bananas.

I then went to the Able Sisters and bought some 3D glasses. Labelle told me that a small gift was included with my purchase, and she gave me another mannequin!

It was placed in my upstairs room next to my other mannequin, and I put Pikmin hats on them both.

I was about done playing, but then I remembered to return to Re-Tail to get my golden furniture. I was very disappointed to see that, once again, Cyrus made me a golden clock!

He has now made me a golden clock three times in four attempts! I think he did it on purpose because he doesn’t like me. But I don’t like him either. Maybe I’ll have to shave his head the next time I catch him sleeping.
