Last Day of Winter

Rex the lion has moved out of Forest. I got his goodbye letter in the mail today.

To my pal, Jeff, I have a hunger...and while I normally just grab a snack to fill up, this hunger will only be satisfied by exotic foods from far-off lands. So, I'm now a wanderer! -Snackily yours, Rex

I visited Maple’s bear-filled house, and Maple surprised me with a free gift: a Papa bear! I think the other bears were worried that they might be next.

Maple: Oh, am I glad to see you! Would you take this Papa bear from me?
Are you sure you have a bear to spare?

Today is the last day of winter in the Animal Crossing universe, at least in terms of snow on the ground. But Tom was using the opportunity to try to scam me into buying his winter sweater… for 2,550 bells! NO WAY.

Tom: Yeah, it's a winter sweater. I'll sell it for 2,550 bells. What do you think?

Static was kicking around a soccer ball near the wishing well. When I spoke with him, he talked about Saharah and how she walks everywhere she goes. He said that he could never do that, because he’s built for comfort, not speed.

Static: I could never do that! Not in a million years. I'm built for comfort, not for speed.

Hank was out enjoying the last snowy night of the season. He said that when it snows like this, his mind just goes blank. I should call him Blank Hank.

Hank: The scenery turns pure white, and my head becomes as blank and empty as the snowy fields...
Hank: Sometimes, I can just stare for hours into that nothingness and not think a single thought...

As for the Papa bear that Maple gave me for free, Emerald offered me 3,000 bells for it! Maple and Emerald are being so generous today…unlike Tom.

Emerald: Yay! You're so awesome! I can't believe you'd sell that thing to me for only 3,000 bells!

I found a paw shirt in the dump, and I decided to put it on. I’ve been wearing the caterpillar tee for a long time, so I was due for a change.

And just before wrapping up my night in Forest, I met my newest neighbor, Sven the goat. He is one of the oldest-looking villagers in the series (along with Dobie, the islander).

Sven: I'm gonna look out the window and whisper to myself, 'I wonder if the sun will ever come out again?'

  1. How many parents does Maple have?! How dare she just give away her father like that. She even gave away her Mama bear away to me! Tom tried to sell me an orange for 180 bells.

    1. Welcome to the blog! This blog is only updated monthly, but I also have blogs for Wild World, City Folk, and New Leaf. They are all updated weekly, so feel free to check them out too! Have a great day!
