When I started up the game today, I saw that I had a new next-door neighbor! Just like I predicted last time, that spot didn’t stay empty for long. I went inside and met my newest neighbor Champ the monkey. I like him already. 🙂
Tangy, who also lives nearby (just a bit to the south, near the windmill) was sick with a cold today. She must not be eating enough Vitamin C! I bought some medicine for her. Get well soon, Tangy!

Dotty asked me to make a delivery to Samson, and I agreed to help out. After I told Samson he had a gift from Dotty, he had a big cheesy smile on his face.
The gift was a fire hydrant. Seems more apt for a dog than a mouse, but Samson seemed to enjoy it. With the delivery a splashing success, I returned to Dotty. She rewarded me a pastel-dot wall.
After making my rounds, I rode the bus out to the city. I decided to make a rare visit to Katrina the fortune teller. After dropping a bucket on my head, she told me something bad may or may not be in my future. So it was just a neutral fortune.
Even though Halloween is over, I spotted Tabby in the city. She told me how she followed a girl back to her bus. I guess Tabby is creepy in more ways than one.
And today is the 9th anniversary of Animal Crossing: City Folk! It came out on November 16, 2008. Here is my annual slideshow of ACCF pics.

If you notice the dirt in the lower-left corner of that picture, that’s the spot where his house was. If history is any indication, that spot won’t stay empty for very long. There almost always seems to be someone living there.
After a quick chat with Benedict in his house, I was heading back outside. Since his house was kinda cluttered, I decided to take a shortcut by hopping on his bed. But as soon as my character jumped into the bed, my batteries died! I guess my character really wanted to keep sleeping there!
I had to swap out my batteries before I could wake up from my nap. 😛
Back outside, I caught a flea that was on Tangy. I then took a quick bus trip to the city before ending my session.
November is here, and that means several mushrooms can be found around town. One of them each day will actually be a piece of mush furniture. Which piece did I find today? It was a closet, if you mush know.
If your town has achieved perfect town status, you may also find a rare mushroom buried somewhere in town. It’s worth a whopping 16,000 bells, so it’s well worth the effort to dig it up. 🙂
I saw that Groucho’s house was still here, and Groucho was inside. He has finally packed up his furniture in boxes. He sure has taken his time moving out!
Opal locked herself out of her house, but I didn’t feel like fishing her key out of the river. She’s an elephant. One night outdoors isn’t going to hurt her. 😛
