I’ve Seen a Ghost

As I walked near town hall tonight, a mysterious voice called out to me. Was it a villager behind the bulletin board? Or a bird on the roof? Nah, that would be ridiculous. It was just the ghost genie, Wisp.

?????: Um... Hellooooooo. Excuse me?He asked me to look for his magic lamp. Sure, no problem.

Up near the town fountain, I bumped into Freckles. She told me she was thinking about moving, and I did not try to stop her. I don’t really care if she lives here or not. In fact, I forgot she did live here until I ran into her.

Freckles: I'm moving, cluck! Jeff: That's GREAT!When I visited Kitty, she told me it’s easy to get too much sun exposure in summer. So she advised me to be careful. Okay, good advice. But then she said it must be nice to be a guy and not have to worry about that. Whatttt? Guys can get sunburned too! I don’t understand what she meant by that.

Kitty: It must be nice to be a guy and not have to worry about things like that.On my 2nd walk around town, I spotted Wisp’s magic lamp on the ground. I picked it up and took it back to Wisp.

Wisp: Whoooooo! Oh, hoooooray! You did it! You found my lamp! Now I can finally return home!He told me to take the lamp to my attic and rub it there. So I did, and he popped out of it. I asked him for furniture and he gave me a modern lamp before disappearing.

Wisp: I gotcha! Hmmm... Let's see... Let's see, what do I have? ...AH HA!

Nan & June Bugs

Today I spotted a new villager house down near the beach. When I went inside, I met Nan, the new goat in town. I’ve had her in my New Leaf town before, and I’m not a big fan of hers. I don’t hate her or anything, but she’s definitely not the greatest of all time.

Nan: I just moved into town, and I really haven't had time to get settled yet. My name is Nan.Now that June is here, fireflies can be found flying near bodies of water. Unlike most (or all?) other bugs, fireflies actually make the town look prettier.

Dotty: I went to get money from my savings, and you know how many bells I have? Like, 9! EEEEEEEEEEEK!Benedict asked me for some green furniture, so I headed to Nook’s shop. I bought him some aloe…plants are green. But when I took it to Ben, he turned it down. Apparently it wasn’t green enough for him.

Benedict: What's this?! Um, actually, I kind of wanted something more green style, and this...isn't that.As much as I wanted to take my axe and chop his head off, I didn’t. Instead, I threw my axe into the fountain! But it still hit someone…Serena! Remember her?

Serena: I guess it was just my bad luck that you clocked me with your axe as you went by.After that, I was about done playing. Until I saw an emperor butterfly, that is. Those things are hard to resist! I got my net out and caught it.

I caught an emperor butterfly! Such royal beauty!
My emperor!

Posing Under a Streetlight

I received Savannah’s goodbye letter in the mail today.

Dearest Jeff, I'm leaving Forest today... I know it's the right step, but I'm still sad, because I'll be leaving you. I hope I see you again someday. -Signed, SavannahI took this letter over the post office (in town hall) and saved it. I’ll keep it there with Bob’s goodbye letter, and many letters from old Wi-Fi friends.

In Able Sisters, I decided to buy this three-ball shirt. There’s no particular reason for it, other than I just wanted something different to wear.

I’ve started keeping some medicine with me most of the time, since I know I’m going to need it sooner or later.

Benedict flips as he takes his medicine. After making my rounds, finding today’s money rock, and buying another medicine to keep in my pockets, I took the bus to the city. I checked the emotions at the theater, mainly because I’m looking for Frillard for a future video. But his emotions are rare, so it may take me a while to find him.

It was raining in the city, and I chatted with Tom the cat. He said the rain makes him want to pose under a streetlight…as he was posing under a streetlight.

Tom, standing under a streetlight: Sometimes when it rains, I get the urge to pose under a streetlight like in one of those old movies.
