Finding a Lucky Clover

I received a goodbye letter from Gladys in the mail today. I’m not glad she’s gone, but it would be a stretch to say I’ll miss her.

Gladys's goodbye letter. It was a sunny day in town, and Fang was really enjoying it. He even said he may be solar-powered! A solar-powered wolf? I always thought wolves lived for the moon. But to enjoy both of those extremes? The difference is day and night.

Fang: Moon me!! Some weather today, eh? I think I'm actually solar powered, toasty.Alfonso was still stuffed up, and it was affecting his speech.

Alfonso: By dose is so stopped up, it's like I'b wearing a bag od by head. A bag full of pudding! ACHOO!As I made my way up to the store, I stopped to pull a clover. It turned out to be a lucky four-leaf clover! Wow, I haven’t found one of these in ACCF for years, probably. It must be my lucky day.

Check it out! I found a four-leaf clover! Does this mean I'll be really lucky now? After buying some medicine, I gave it to Alfonso. Get well soon!

Alfonso flips as he takes his medicine.Saharah was in town, looking for old carpet. So I began asking around. But I stopped my search temporarily to listen in on a conversation between Twiggy and Fang. Twiggy was complaining, saying she was in pain. Fang asked what was wrong, and Twiggy said that her hair was hurting! I have some weird animals in this town.

Twiggy: ...My hair. I didn't think hair was supposed to hurt, retweet me. was unable to ask two of my nine villagers about old carpet: Alfonso (who was sick) and Bunnie (who was locked out of her house). But the other seven all told me no. My only hope of getting any old carpet today was to find Bunnie’s key. It took me a while, but I did indeed fish it out of the river.

I caught a key! ...Whose key is this?I took it to Bunnie, and she was overjoyed!

Bunnie: Yes! YEEEEEEES! My key, toasty! You found my key!She rewarded me with a mini croakoid. But then I asked her about old carpeting, and she didn’t have any for me either! So much for this being my lucky day!

I wrapped up my day by taking a bus ride out to the city. Phineas was there, and he asked if I wanted anything. Yes, a badge! But I wasn’t really interested in a balloon, bubble wand, or pinwheel, so I politely declined the offer.

Phineas: Really? You don't want a prize? Well, OK, I certainly won't try to force one on you, sonny.

Goodbye Gladys

When I went in to visit Gladys today, I was surprised to see that she was all packed up and ready to move out! That was quick! She just moved in one month ago (to the day).

Gladys: I think you can tell by looking, but I've decided to move out of Forest for good, stretch.Alfonso was sick with a cold, so I bought some medicine to help him feel better. I guess you could call it Gator Aid.

Alfonso flips in the air as he takes his medicine.Static was talking about red turnips today…I had completely forgotten red turnips were a thing! Not that I ever bought any.

Static: I raise red turnips for pickling, but, man, look away for five seconds and they start dying! And of course, it’s Saturday night, so I headed to the Roost for some live music. K.K. then performed K.K. Technopop for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Technopop.Tomorrow night is the 4th fireworks festival (of five). I plan on attending one of them, but it may not be tomorrow. If not, I’ll definitely attend next Sunday.

Seeking Old Wallpaper

As expected, Nat sent me a bug trophy in the mail as my reward for winning the Bug-Off. I had no need for it, so I promptly sold it. 😛

Saharah was in town today, looking for old wallpaper. In fact, she was the reason I’m writing this blog entry today instead of tomorrow. I still need a number of her items, so I’ll often start up City Folk to see if she’s in town. If so, I’ll keep playing and write a blog entry. If not, I’ll wait until my usual-ish days, which tend to be Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Saharah: I came from far away. I wish to trade wallpaper. It is for wallpaper that I came to your town today. So I began asking around for wallpaper. Static had no interest in helping me out. He even used an excuse about not having any pets or kids! I’ve never heard of a squirrel that has pets.

Static: Nah, I don't have any pets or kids, so my furnishings usually last. Good luck, though, toasty.Kitt was creeping around outside of Cousteau’s house for some reason. When I caught her, she bribed me with an old wallpaper. So I won’t mention it to Cousteau…this time.

Kitt: That's fine! You're really welcome to my old one. It's not like I need it for anything!Twiggy, however, wasn’t as cooperative. She just wanted to make jokes, asking if I needed old wallpaper because I bought an old wall. She even thought her joke was so funny that she told me to retweet it!

Twiggy: Old wallpaper? Why, did you buy an old wall? Tee hee, retweet me! Teeeeee hee hee hee!Friga was the only other villager to give me old wallpaper. Fortunately, I had one in storage to take to Saharah in addition to the two from Kitt and Friga. In return, Saharah gave me a tropical vista.

Saharah: Here...a tropical vista. Very exotic... Treasure it. It is a very rare thing. The tropical vista is definitely an attractive wallpaper. But unfortunately, it’s not one that I needed.

The tropical vista wallpaper that I got from Saharah.
