March FNF

Tonight was Friday Night Forest for ACCF, so I opened my gate at 10:00. Jake came over to visit, and I shot a party popper off in his face.

Shooting a party popper off in Jake's face as we stand at the bus stop.We hung out in my house and in Elmer’s house for a while. Eventually, Michael also came over to visit.

Jake, Michael, and Jeff in Forest. We were talking about Bananas (my other ACCF town), and that turned into us talking about banana milkshakes somehow. I mentioned that Rally’s (the fast food place) has them, and Jake asked what Rally’s was. I told him it was the same thing as Checkers. Michael then asked if that was Checker Auto Parts, so I jokingly said yes, they do brakes and shakes.

Jeff: They do brakes and shakes.Jake and Michael both took some of my free flowers, and I ate my chocolate heart that was leftover from Valentine’s Day.

My character blushes after eating chocolate. We then all toured the rooms of my house and Scott’s house. The latter had some roaches in it. I finished off the last of the roaches as Jake and Michael were making their way through the obstacle course.

Jeff, after squishing a cockroach: WAHOOOOOOO!I ended the party around midnight. I’ll be opening my gate again on Friday, April 4th. But I’m planning on visiting Tom’s town tomorrow, so if everything goes as planned, you can expect another blog entry then. Have a good weekend, everyone!

Joe, Moe, and a UFO

Last night, I saw Pompom in The Roost, enjoying a cup of coffee. I also sat down and had a cup of joe.

Brewster hands me a cup of coffee as I sit next to Pompom. Then today, I stopped in to say hello to Lily. She must’ve been burned out after Festivale, because she was glad to have a nice, lazy day in Forest.

Lily: Big events are nice and all, but I think lazy days like this are nice, too, eagle eye.On a side note, almost all of my villagers seem to be saying “eagle eye” now! I originally taught it to Avery the eagle, but he’s gone now, and everyone else is saying it when it doesn’t even apply to them!

I saw a new house popped up in town, so I went in to meet my new neighbor. It’s Moe the cat, who said he moved here from 2007! Is he a time traveler??

Moe: I just moved here today from 2007, so I'm still cleaning up. Oh, I'm Moe, by the way.It rained in the city today, so I didn’t need to water my flowers. But on my regular walk around town, something startled me: It was a UFO!

A UFO flies directly over my head.Unlike in my prime UFO hunting days of 2011 and 2012, this one really caught me by surprise and I wasn’t expecting it at all. My slingshot was attached to a letter, so I had no chance of shooting Gulliver down. But I suppose it’s nice just to see the UFO again, especially considering New Leaf doesn’t have anything like it.

Tomorrow night is my ACCF Friday Night Forest! So if you’re on my roster, stop on by! It will be one of just four planned ACCF gate openings…ever. March 7, April 4, May 2, and then the grand finale on May 19th.

Rerouted Path Reminder

Yesterday, Avery officially moved out of town and sent me this goodbye letter. At least he was cool enough to use Super Mario Bros. 3 paper.

Avery's goodbye letter in Animal Crossing: City Folk. And his missing house made me realize something I had long forgotten. When he first moved in, I had to re-route my path around his house. But I’ve been so used to following the path around his house, I forgot it used to go straight up.

My path router around the spot where Avery's house once stood.I fixed it back up tonight. I just hope my next villager doesn’t move into that spot and mess it all up again.

I’ve been asked to make a screen of my green brick path pattern, so that Akitoru can recreate it for his town. So here it is. It uses palette #1, by the way.

A close-up look at my green brick path pattern, so that you can make it yourself!Tomorrow is Festivale, so remember to play your game if you’re trying for the Pave’ furniture. Personally, I’m not a fan of Festivale. The mini-games are annoying and they drag on so long, while collecting candy can be a pain when you don’t get the right colors you need. So there’s a good chance I won’t even play it on ACCF tomorrow, but I will be playing the New Leaf version to see if it’s any better.
