Saving Bob

Late last night, I caught my first tarantula of the summer. And as I was talking to Bob, he mentioned that he was thinking about moving out of Forest! I told him not to go, but he still insisted. So I left the game turned on for a while, and I’d go back to him every 10 minutes or so to try to talk him out of it.

At one point, he asked me to catch a tarantula for him! I still had the one in my pocket, so I gave it to him. Only for you, Bob. A bit later, he finally agreed to stay in town.

Then today, I see that he has his tarantula displayed in his house. Well, at least he appreciates it.

A tarantula on display in Bob's house. It was raining again today in Forest, and many of the animals were complaining about it once again.

Del: Sigh... This day is dragging on. Rain is the enemy of fun, snapper. My two frogs were engaged in discussion, and I listened in. Jeremiah wanted to know why Ribbot was always working out, and Ribbot insisted it was in his blood. To make him understand, Ribbot asked Jeremiah why he always eats snacks.

Jeremiah: Well, I guess it's just 'cause I know the food isn't gonna eat itself.I went into Felicity’s house, and she was mad because Avery said she looked older than a fossil. So she wanted me to find a fossil for her, so she could show everyone that a fossil does indeed look older than her. But I didn’t want to help her out.

Felicity: I'm smiling on the outside... But inside I'm SO MAD! Avery just said that I looked older than a fossil! That’s your smiling face??

Talking in the Rain

Animal Crossing mirrored reality today as rain poured from the sky. Avery is not a fan of the wet stuff.

Avery: Oh, give me a break... Grrr. Look at this weather! Nothing puts me in a bad mood like a rainstorm!I enjoyed the rain in City Folk because I didn’t have to water my flowers today. So I spent my day in Forest just catching up with my neighbors. Rowan was telling me how he’s not very good at catching ocean fish.

Rowan: I'm no good at ocean fishing. The waves push the fish close, and my hugeness scares them off.It seemed that the rain dampened everyone’s spirits. But at least one animal was in a good mood…Ribbot was actually enjoying the rain. He’s a frog, so it makes sense that he would enjoy the rain. But on the other hand, he’s a robot too! So wouldn’t he rust?

Ribbot: Gettin' soaked to the bone always makes me feel all hardcore outdoorsy, toady!A bit later on, Melba and Avery were having a discussion by a bridge, with Pascal standing nearby, silently listening to every word.

Melba: Um...Avery, thre's something I gotta tell you...I drool.I went to check my beaches for a scallop for Pascal, but I couldn’t find any to give him. But I still talked to him to hear his good advice.

Pascal: Once you lie, maaaan, there's no going back. And then I watched him float over the waterfall.

Pascal dives over the waterfall in Animal Crossing: City Folk (ACCF).

New Cat in Town

It was a beautiful day in Forest as I began my walk around town. I met up with Robin, who reminded me to speak with Copper and Booker each day to see if any visitors are in town.

Robin: Be sure to talk to the gatekeepers! They always know who's coming and going, in my tux.I also saw my newest neighbor, Felicity the cat.

Felicity: I, like, just moved to Forest five minutes ago!She seems a bit full of herself, unfortunately.

Felicity: You know who you're looking at? the future music queen of Forest, that's who!A bit later, I met up with Rowan. He was warning me about Crazy Redd.

Rowan: Yeah, that's one shady shop. I'd never buy my free weights there. They could be fake heavy! And by the time I identified all my fossils and finished up around town, I noticed my pockets were getting full of money. So I took a bunch of it and deposited it into my bank account. As I did, my balance topped 19 million bells for the first time.

Your current balance is 19,080,000 bells.
