Nature Day

Today is Earth Day, or Nature Day as it’s known in the world of Animal Crossing. So Mayor Tortimer was waiting outside town hall with a gift to celebrate the occasion.

Tortimer: On Nature Day, we surround ourselves with sky, sea, and land, and give thanks to the earth. The gift was a cool globe. Here’s a look at it in my house:

The cool globe for Nature Day on display in my house.I then watered my flowers and found two new black roses today. I ran into Del, and he invited himself over to my house! How rude!

Del: This may seem a bit sudden, but I've decided to come crash your pad!Even though he said he wouldn’t take no for an answer, I was indeed able to decline the offer. Setting up these meetings with animals is a bit of a pain, because they won’t accept a time that’s too soon and they won’t accept a time that’s too late. What a croc.

Hide and Seek

Anabelle moved out this morning; I got her goodbye letter in the mail.

My dearest Jeff, I totally had to think about it for, like, forever...but I decided to move after all. Sniff! Don't forget me when I'm gone, OK?! -Like, from Anabelle! When I saw Avery, he invited me to play a game of hide and seek with him.

Avery: One thing I do is get some buddies to hide in the deep shadows, then I go after them, see?I agreed to play, so I had to find him, Melba, and Snake. Since I had 15 minutes instead of 10, I decided not to rush. I went on and watered my flowers as I searched. Snake was the first one I ran into. He didn’t exactly have the best hiding spot.

You’re supposed to be a ninja! And this is where you hide?!

Later on, I found Avery hiding behind the museum.

After Avery’s Yoda impression (win you did), he handed me a kiddie carpet as my reward for winning the game. By this point, I had already watered most of my flowers, but I went back for the few that still needed the water. I found one new black rose today.

Avery: Anyhoo, win you did! And since the odds were so insurmountable, I'll give you a kiddie carpet!

Wi-Fi, Saharah, and Anabelle the Liar

Friday is my Wi-Fi night, so I opened my Forest gate around 10:00. Yann and Wendy came over to visit. I later found out Ryan was trying to come too, but he was once again having trouble connecting. Anyway, I had put a four-clear clover in the free flower area and Wendy picked it up.

Wendy holds up a four-leaf clover she picked.Saharah the hairy camel was in town, looking for old carpeting. So I went around asking my villagers for old carpets. But when I went in Anabelle’s house, she was all packed and ready to move out! 😮 Last Sunday, she told me she was going to stay in Forest! What a liar!

Anabelle: I don't mind packing my bags. It's the cleaning part that stinks, mmm Egbert! In all, only one of my villagers had old carpet for me; it was Snake of all people. I don’t know if he’s trying to get on my good side, but it’s not going to work.

Snake: Yeah, I've got old carpets! They're lookin' pretty ratty from that time I used them to sled down a glacier.A bit later on, Wendy’s batteries died. And then she somehow fell into a hole. How clumsy of her! 😛

Wendy struggling to get out of a pitfall on the beach.Wendy was still without batteries later on, when we were discussing Zelda games.

Wendy: Do you have TP? Jeff: In the bathroom, why?Wendy eventually found the willpower to get up and get new batteries. And while we were “fishing” in a pond, Avery kept trying to walk through Yann. He wouldn’t give up.

Avery unsuccessfully tries to walk through Yann, who was fishing.Yann showed us how her character moves a bit when she tries to pick up a flower that someone else is standing on. Then, Wendy and I were hitting roses with nets to watch the petals fly up.

Jeff and Wendy attack some red roses with nets to watch the rose petals fly off.We then finished the night with a few bad jokes and I ended the party around 1:50. I had a good time tonight, so thanks to Yann and Wendy for stopping by (and to Ryan for trying to stop by, haha).
