Green Brick Road

Yesterday in Bananas, I voted for a lighthouse.

Pelly: One person for a new lighthouse. You got it!And today, in Forest, it was storming.

A cloudy sky and rain during the storm.Since it’s almost St. Patrick’s Day, I decided to make a green brick path. Most of the shades of green in the palette tool are ugly, to be honest. But I think my path turned out alright.

My green brick path near my fountain.I saw Wendell the hungry walrus in town, but I didn’t have any food to give him.

Wendell: Stomach so very empty... Keeps making a noise like gluuuurrrgle bluuuurrrgle...In Nook’s shop, Nook told me I have a very good eye. But I can’t even see what’s for sale!

Tom Nook, hidden behind a kitchen sink: Ah, very good, Jeff! You have a good eye, hm?Bob told me that he made up a game that he plays on rainy days.

Bob: It's called "Stay Inside and Eat Lime Sorbet."
That’s not a game, Bob. It’s called being lazy.

And before I ended my day in Forest, I ran into Jeremiah. He asked for a new catchphrase, so I told him to say “I eat bugs.”

Jeremiah: What's up, I eat bugs!

A Big Donation

I started out in my Bananas town today. Tom Nook finally asked me what I want in a store. Yes! This is my chance to get it back to Nook ‘n’ Go, which is open until 1:00 a.m.  Good hours please!

Tom Nook: For example, Jeff. What do you look for in a store, hm?And after selling some fruit, I had enough money for my lighthouse! Awesome!

Thanks for your generosity! 1,000,000 bells. So next week, Bananas will have a lighthouse and Nook ‘n’ Go! Sweet.

I then moved on to my Forest town. Bob said he wanted to have an aquarium to make his house more relaxing, so he asked me to catch a barbel steed for him. It took 5-10 minutes of fishing, but I caught it for him. He thanked me by giving me 544 bells.

Bob: Yippee! A barbel steed!I still had a pocket full of other stinky fish, and Peggy sniffed it out and tracked me down. She bought a cherry salmon from me for around 900 bells.

Peggy: Yes! Yay! Wooo hooo! Your cherry salmon is PERFECT for me!I watered my flowers and found one new black rose today. That’s all for now. See you next time!

It Came From the Skye!

My old friend Skye contacted me and wanted to play some Animal Crossing today. I don’t think I had played with her since last August, although there have been a few times when she tried to come but couldn’t get in, due to connection difficulties. But we eventually were able to connect today.

She put her beak on, and we were both wearing green. I got distracted by a peacock butterfly and I couldn’t resist catching it.

I caught a peacock butterfly! How dark and pretty!I showed her my house. She went in for some soup and I thought about pushing her in.

Skye, facing the creepy cauldron: Slurp. She saw the skeleton and recognized it as her former best duck friend Jim.

Skye, standing by a creepy skeleton: This was my best duck bud.I asked if he was a duck, how come he didn’t have a beak? Then she accused me of stealing it! As if! I buy my duck beaks at the store just like everybody else.

Anyway, I was in the process of letting Skye catalog the creepy set when she asked about Avery’s catchphrase, which she said was Queen O.Oil.  Queen Olive Oil was Olivia’s nickname (Avery came from Olivia’s town), but that was not his current catchphrase! His current one is “gimme food.” So for some reason, Skye was still seeing his old catchphrase and I have no idea why. I’ve never known that to happen before.

Avery: It's spring. Where do you get all that energy from, pal? You look raring to go, gimme food. After I put the creepy furniture set back in my room, I showed Skye my Gulliver room in Scott’s house. A bit after that, Skye had to go. I then finished watering my flowers and ended my day in Forest.
