The End of the Road

I got a letter from Katie’s mom today, thanking me for bringing Katie home. She also sent me a music box.

Hello, Jeff, I really appreciate your efforts the other day, helping bring Katie back home. Please accept this small token of my sincere thanks! -From the Lost Girl's MomThe music box I received from Kaitlin.I walked around town, found one new black rose, and shot down a balloon present. It had a writing desk in it. Chief was home, so I went in his house and talked to him. He asked me to find him a fossil.

Chief: Any luck? Found the buried fossil treasure yet, Captain Piratebeard? I'm waiting, harrumph!Later on, I talked to Curly, who offered to buy my writing desk. I gladly sold it.

Curly: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up a sec. Tell me that's a writing desk in your pocket!

After finding a fossil for Chief and identifying it, I gave it to him and he thanked me with an imperial tile (carpet).

Chief: And so the last piece falls into place, harrumph! This stego skull will let me... Never mind!As for my town, I decided to remove my patterns and just have dirt paths for a while. A lot of people seem to expect me to change my path patterns to match every season, and that’s not what I ever intended. I’ll put up path patterns again eventually, but for now they’ll just be dirt paths.

Removing my patterns, revealing a dirt path underneath in Animal Crossing: City Folk (ACCF).

One extra bonus is that dirt paths allow flowers more room to breed. I’m not sure if this will result in more hybrids, but it can’t hurt.

Katie and the Wicked Breeze

Today I found Katie in my town. She wants to go home to Toshi, which is Bushido’s town. This whole missing cat thing kind of annoys me, because you have to keep doing it over and over. Not to mention, I believe Gulliver won’t fly by if one of the cats is in your town, so I really wish there was an option to disable the missing cat stuff. I guess I’ll have to send Bushy Dough a message and see if we can work out a time to play so I can deliver the cat.

Not much else happened in Forest today. I watered my flowers of course, and found one new black rose today. Also, I saw that Antonio’s catchphrase really fit in to what he was saying today.

Antonio: Like the other day, I have gas, I was leaving the house and there was this wicked breeze.

Mission Accomplished

Bushido was able to open his gate tonight, so I was able to drop off Katie. If you’re reading this, thanks Bushy!

Droping off Katie to be reunited with her mother.Since I had the game on for that, I went on and took the bus to the city to check for rain. Believe it or not, it actually was raining in the city this time! Even though I already watered my wilted flowers today, the rain will ensure there won’t be any wilties tomorrow.
