I got to see the inside of Rizzo’s house for the first time tonight, and it’s rather odd. He has a couple pieces of exotic furniture, three gyroids near the center of the room, and…a sleigh?

There was a new house on the beach in the southwest part of town, and I found Simon the monkey inside. I’m not a fan of monkeys in general (except Champ), but I guess it could be worse.

I had Simon in my town of Bananas once.

Pascal was in town tonight, standing on the northwest bridge. I went to the ocean and found a scallop, and took it over to him. He commented about how funny plankton are.

He gave me a ship deck (flooring) in return for the scallop.

I did a little bug-hunting, but I wasn’t up to a long session tonight. So I stopped shortly after I earned about 100k for the night.

I might be back with another entry on Sunday, because I would like to participate in the fireworks festival once before the month ends.

Spork’s goodbye letter arrived in the mail today.

I ran into Rizzo, and he informed me that he locked himself out of his house! I had no interest in helping him out. 😂

It was K.K. Slider night, so I attended his show at the Roost. He performed K.K. Sonata for me. It may be sad, but it’s not bad. 😛

In the city, the path to Resetti’s Surveillance Center was open…so I walked right in. I spoke with Resetti, and he was being unusually nice. But then he suddenly got called away; he had to leave in a hurry.

Once I finished making my rounds, I started my bug-hunting search. Unlike last week, I was seeing more valuable bugs. And not only that, but I wasn’t missing many of them either. In fact, I only swung and missed at two valuable bugs the whole night (2+ hours), one which was in a tricky spot on my peninsula, and the other was this tarantula that I didn’t notice in time.

It was one of my best bug-hunting nights ever, if not the best! I hauled in twelve goliath beetles, six scarab beetles, four rainbow stags, four giant beetles, four elephant beetles, three golden stags, two atlas beetles, two cyclommatus, two scorpions, and a tarantula.

In all, I made 410,000 bells in a two-hour, ten-minute session. Not bad, if I do say so myself. 😎 My bank account balance topped 47 million bells, and I’m well on my way to meeting and exceeding my summer goal.

At the end of the night, I found two furniture items in the recycle bin: a wagon wheel and a modern chair. See you all next time!

Tonight was my first time playing in August, so I earned 99,999 bells in interest on my bank account balance.

Gwen was complaining that someone gave her a pyramid that she had no use for. So she offered it to me for free, and I gladly took it!

It was K.K. Slider night, so I went down to the Roost to check out the show. K.K. performed K.K. Bossa for me. It’s a good song.

When I visited Spork, I was (pleasantly) surprised to see he was packing up and moving away!

He hasn’t even lived in town for two months, so I certainly wasn’t expecting this day to come so soon.

I did a little bug-catching, but I wasn’t really feeling it tonight. I did catch two hercules beetles, a cyclommatus, a goliath beetle, a scarab beetle, and a scorpion. But I was also missing quite a few bugs. So I cut my session shorter tonight, playing less than an hour and earning only 80,000 bells.
