No Leg to Stand On

Last Saturday, I found Tiffany in her house, with her belongings all packed up in boxes. I said my final goodbye to her.

Tiffany: And treat yourself to a good splurge now and then! OK, bunbun?

I played again tonight and I got her goodbye letter in the mail. She thanked me for making her life in Forest “SO wonderful.” By capitalizing the “SO,” I’m pretty sure she was being sarcastic. And when I think of the times I pitfall’d her, glitched her in the river, and dropped a giant snowball on her head, I can’t say I blame her. 😛

To: Jeff, The day has come for me to leave Forest. Thank you for making here SO wonderful. I'll always remember you! -From: Tiffany

Kitty was sick with a cold tonight, so I bought some medicine for her. Just don’t say I’ve never been nice to Kitty. Because in 3+ years, this makes at least twice. 😉

Kitty flips as she takes her medicine.

My old buddy Puck asked me to catch a centipede for him, and I agreed to help out. I don’t know why all my villagers seem to want centipedes though! That would be the last bug I’d ever ask for!

Puck: So, J-bot, if you happen to have a spare centipede, would you mind giving it to me?

So I went around town, banging every rock I saw. Over and over. But every rock in the observable universe gave up nothing but pill bugs!

Jeff shows his pockets full of pill bugs in Animal Crossing: City Folk.

I really wanted to help Puck out, but I failed miserably. It’s a bitter pill to swallow.

Anyway, if you haven’t yet seen City Folk Moments #9, here is the video. It starts off with a cool scene in which a pill bug tried to kill me! And later on, Goldie tried to kill me too. Well, there were a lot of attempted murders in this episode, but it’s all in good fun. 😛

Valentine’s Day 2020

On Tuesday, Pascal was in town, standing on the bridge towards the museum. I found a scallop for him, and he gave me a ship cannon in return. I then snapped this picture as he was starting to backflip into the river.

I was looking for a picture of my town map, after someone in a Youtube comment wondered if we had the same layout. But I couldn’t seem to find a map pic posted on this blog. Maybe I missed one somewhere, but I decided to take a new picture regardless. This is Forest’s layout:

I know it’s kind of a zig-zaggy layout, but it’s home. 😛

Today (Friday) is Valentine’s Day. I received a valentine from Kitty, of all people! This is the 2nd year in a row that Kitty was my valentine (ugh). Why couldn’t it be Goldie? Well at least Kitty sent me a chocolate heart.

To Jeff: Happy Valentine's Day! Do you like chocolate? I hope so, since that's what I'm supposed to send to show that I've got heart! -Kitty

Up at the Roost, I stopped in for my annual cup of hot chocolate. Brewster also wished me a happy Valentine’s Day.

Brewster: ...Happy Valentine's Day.

Even though Kitty is my valentine and Brewster gave me hot cocoa, it was Tiffany that gave me the sweetest gift of all: She’s leaving town!

Tiffany: Yes, I'm thinking it might be time to leave this town, bunbun.

I recently posted a video (jokingly) showing what happens underwater in Animal Crossing games. While it isn’t just about City Folk, the first clip does show some ACCF footage. It’s a short video (under two minutes), and the response has been very positive, so I hope you’ll give it a quick watch. 🙂

I hope you all are having a good Valentine’s Day, and a good weekend. See you next time! I plan on posting another City Folk Moments video by early next week, so stay tuned!

Pit Path Prep

On Thursday, Punchy was still sick. So I gave him some more medicine.

Using some information I learned last week, I set things up for my pitfall plan. I set a trap, which collected four villagers with almost no effort on my part (other than digging a few holes). Although the trap basically reset when I ventured too far from that area, I returned and re-trapped three villagers pretty quickly.

I dug holes, buried pitfalls along a path, and released my victims.

Here is my video that shows the whole thing. I only wish Tiffany was involved, instead of poor Bones.

Today, Punchy was over his cold. He sent me a stool to thank me for the medicine.

Chip had his tent set up outside of town hall for the fishing tournament, but of course, I played too late to participate. He told me that Bones was the winner. Congrats, Bones! Hopefully that will cheer him up after what happened the other day.

Chip: Bones from here in Forest! Solid fishing! But not so much for you. Nyuuk nyuk!

Goldie asked me for a mole cricket, so I kept my ears open for the critter. It didn’t take me long to track one down. When I took it over to Goldie, she thanked me and gave me a lattice wall for the trouble.

I went down to the Roost and caught the Saturday night performance of K.K. Slider. He played K.K. Condor for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Condor.

By the way, if you didn’t yet see last week’s episode of Mario Plays ACCF, here it is:
