Delicious Snow

It was snowing again in Forest tonight. I wish I could get snow like this in Wild World! But naturally, Roald the penguin was happy to see the snow. He even said it was delicious!

Roald: SNOW! It's snowing! And it's delicious, I'm a jerk!

Nook ‘n’ Go had a big festive tree for sale, so I bought it for my house. Christmas is just a few weeks away! I’m soooo not ready for it. 😛

Tom Nook: Yes, a big festive tree. It costs 1,984 bells.

Unfortunately, my house is so messy that the only place for the tree was right by the door. I literally can’t step into the main room now (without picking the tree back up). 😂

Bones was sick with a cold, so I bought some medicine for him. Get well soon, doggy dude!

I took advantage of the falling snow, and I went fishing in the ocean. Even though I didn’t fish for long, I did catch myself a coelacanth!

A coelacanth?

My newest neighbor Monty asked me for a favor (the first of many, most likely). He wanted me to deliver a package. I agreed to help out, and I took the gift over to Knox: A graduation gown was inside.

Knox: Well, well, if it wasn't the graduation gown I asked for.

The monkey gave me a holly bonsai as my reward. Meanwhile, Knox had to keep wearing his new gown out in the snow…that’s because he locked himself out of his house. His brain must be scrambled. 😛

Ugly Monkey

The first snow flurries of the season fell in Forest tonight. Winter is coming, and soon.

The first snowflakes of the season in ACCF Forest.

My buddy Static had an easy request for me: He wanted a horse mackerel.

Static: Do you mind tossing a good horse mackerel my way, buzz me?

I agreed to help out. But before I went fishing, I went to check out a new house. I felt a bit worried as I entered the door…as it turns out, it was for good reason.

An ugly monkey moves in.

OMG, whyyyyyy? I don’t want this ugly monkey in my town! His name is Monty, and I’m starting to dislike my town residents of late. I now have three villagers that I strongly dislike (Kitty, Tiffany, and Monty). I need to start getting them out of here.

Monty: The name's Monty. Hey, what's with that face? Don't freak out. I'm not quite as scary as I look.
Well at least he knows he’s ugly.

After making my rounds, I caught a horse mackerel for Static. He thanked me by giving me a billiard table.

Static: Nice work, old dog. Here, a billiard table for your troubles, buzz me.

Even though it’s Saturday night, I didn’t check out K.K. Slider’s musical performance this week. I guess I just wasn’t in the mood. Have a good night, everyone!

Shrunk Has a DVD?

Yesterday, I received Sterling’s goodbye letter in the mail. He’s taking his biceps (and his helmet) on tour. 😛

Yo, Jeff, It's time for me to bail on Forest and take these biceps on tour! They're just too big for one town. Don't worry, you'll see 'em again! -Sterling

As for his helmeted, chickeny counterpart Knox, today was his birthday. But he was just talking about gardening when I visited him. (Unlike Wild World and New Leaf, birthdays aren’t celebrated in City Folk…other than the notice on the bulletin board).

Knox: Whenever I see a garden that's really been cared for, I want to bust out my can and get busy!

At the Roost tonight, K.K. Slider performed K.K. Swing for me. It’s not one of my favorite songs.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Swing.

Back outside after the show, Tiffany asked me if I could return the Shrunk DVD that I borrowed from her.

Tiffany: You know, that DVD Shrunk: The Joke's Gone Too Far...

But then she remembered she didn’t loan it to me, she loaned it to Knox. How did she get me confused with Knox? Maybe it was my helmet and beak.

I spoke with Mitzi, and she mentioned the fact that I’ve caught every fish in the game. I could be mistaken, but I don’t recall hearing that from a villager in City Folk before.

Mitzi: I'm trying to take some inspiration from you, Jeff. You've caught every fish there is!

I recently posted my annual slideshow of the best pictures I’ve taken over the past year. If you haven’t seen it yet, here it is: The 11th Year in Pictures.
