No Mercy

Tabby the genius locked herself out of her house tonight. Rather than sticking her lazy paws in the river to get her key out, she just wanted to cry about how there’s no food outside and she’s going to have to eat dirt, sticks, and bugs. Nevermind the fact that she was surrounded by coconuts as she said all of this.

Tabby: WAAAAAAAAH! I'm gonna have to eat DIRT and stuff, tweedledee! And sticks! And buuuuuuugs!

As you could probably guess, I did not help her look for her house key.

I saw two snowballs around town, and I decided to build a snowman. But I made sure to build a disfigured snowman. He wasn’t happy about how he looked.

Snowman: It would have been more merciful to leave me as disconnected flakes, unable to hear the scorn of others.
Nah, now you can suffer like everyone else.

Samson was feeling under the weather, so I bought some medicine for him. He used his newfound cheerleading skills to backflip the medicine down.

Samson flips as he takes his medicine in Animal Crossing: City Folk (ACCF) for Nintendo Wii.

Wendell the starving artist walrus was in town, but I didn’t speak with him.

I may have my next ACCF video ready by next weekend. It’s not another pitfall video or anything like that, though. In a way, I’m making the video for New Leaf players…who may not realize (or may have forgotten) some of the unique things you can do in City Folk. I’ll have a bonus blog entry to accompany it as well. See you next week!

UFO #31, Groundhog Day

Yesterday, I was finally able to do something I haven’t done for a long time. I shot down Gulliver’s UFO!

Shooting down Gulliver's UFO with my slingshot in ACCF.

This was my 31st UFO overall, and of course my first of 2018. I didn’t shoot any down at all in 2017; my last one was in May 2016, in fact!

I quickly recovered the spaceship part nearby. I love it when they’re nice and easy to find like this!

A spaceship part on the ground in ACCF.

And then today, I went down to the beach to chat with the spaceship’s crash-landed pilot, Gulliver. I gave him his precious spaceship part, and in return, he gave me an Arc de Triomphe.

Gulliver: Waiting about on the ship is a bit on the dull side, so I thought I'd take up an Earth pastime, like surfing.

Tortimer was standing outside of town hall tonight, in the snow.

Tortimer: Here, let me give you something appropriate for Groundhog Day.
A kiss?

He gave me a Resetti model for Groundhog Day. I didn’t really care for it…at least not a hole lot.

Benedict asked me to make a delivery to Samson, and I agreed to help out. But the gift was a bit surprising…it was a pep squad shirt! That’s the same thing he sent to Clyde on Wednesday! Is he trying to turn everyone into cheerleaders?

Samson: Oh, and tell Benedict I put the shirt on, cheese bro! I'm gonna rock it all over town.

When I visited Tabby, she told me she wanted to drink nothing but iced coffee for the rest of her life! Oh no! That means we have something in common! Does that mean I can’t hate her anymore?

Tabby: OK, so, like, last night I decided to drink nothing but iced coffee for the rest of my life.

But then she said an hour later, she thought it was a totally lame idea! What is wrong with her? Okay, now I hate her again. 😛

Have a great weekend! I’ll be back with another entry next week. 🙂

A Tough Cheerleader

I had a chat with Clyde out on the dead end today, and he was carrying a shovel around. He thought it made him look tougher.

Clyde: Doesn't this shovel make me look tougher? Like you wouldn't want to mess with me?
Yeah, nothing says tough like a horse carrying a shovel…and wearing a bikini.

Benedict asked me to make a delivery to Clyde today, and I agreed to help out. The gift was clothing, so Clyde changed out of his rainbow bikini and into a pep squad shirt. I’m not sure that this is helping Clyde’s attempts to look tougher, though. 😛

Clyde: Is this a pep-squad shirt? Huh. I guess I should make the most of it, though, and give it a try, clucky!
Oh, I think that Ben’s found himself a cheerleader… ♪

I wrote Tabby a nice letter for a future ACCF video. And then I ordered a Mario outfit (shirt, hat, and mustache) at Nook ‘n’ Go. It’s also for a future video…just not an Animal Crossing video. 😉 You’d probably never guess, even if you could brew up an idea.

Catalog: big bro's shirt, 256 bells.

I listened in on a conversation between Champ and Kitty. It started out with Champ asking what was going on with Kitty’s face. 😀 Too bad this discussion wasn’t with Tabby.

Champ: Yo, Kitty, what's going on with your face right there? tweedledee?

Kitty responded that she gets pimples on her left cheek when she gets dumped. I wonder who dumped her? I didn’t know she was dating anyone. But Champ brushed off that explanation, saying she probably got the pimples because she wasn’t working out hard enough.

Champ told me he was going to move out of town, but I didn’t want him to go. So I told him to stick around, but he said it was too late. But eventually, after at least seven separate attempts, he finally agreed to stay in town.

Champ: Your tears have, like, rusted the iron boulder of my heart, tweedledee.

I also did a little town maintenance, finally repairing the damage done during Pitfall Pandemonium. Nothing major, I just moved some gold roses back to where they were before, and I replanted an orange tree I chopped down to make room.
