Saharah was in town today, looking for old wallpaper. Static was the first villager I asked about it, and surprisingly, he had some for me.
In fact, three of the first four villagers I asked had some for me (Nan and Tank were the others that helped out). But those three were the only three. Still, that was enough to get a rare wallpaper, so I took them back to Saharah. She gave me a mortar wall in return.
The good news is that the mortar wall was a wallpaper that I still needed for my catalog checklist. Not that I care much about completing my catalog any more, but still, I’ll take it. The bad news is that the wallpaper didn’t look like anything special.
When I visited Poncho, he was wondering if anything secret was buried in Forest. He wasn’t talking about fossils or gyroids, but he suggested there’s something bigger underground. Very interesting… I wonder what Nintendo had in mind here. How about an underground mine to dig for ore?
I picked a few dandelion puffs, and took them over to the alien landing site. The aliens’ tractor beams abducted the flying puffs and took them up into the sky! Or maybe it was just the wind.
Nan told me she was thinking about moving out of town. Even though she’s not my favorite animal, I really didn’t want her to leave this soon. Maybe she grew on me a bit when she lived in my New Leaf town in 2014. So I talked her into staying.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf has the island, which is great for bug-catching, but not as many bugs seem to appear in town. City Folk has lots of tree beetles on summer nights, so I still prefer bug-hunting in ACCF. I caught quite a few bugs last night, including this elephant beetle on the peninsula.
Unfortunately, I was finding lots of Miyama stags and dynastid beetles, and not as many of the more valuable beetles. But still, I enjoyed my bug hunt and I earned 44,000 bells in the process.
Over on the bridge, I stopped to enjoy the sunset. What a pretty time of day.
I ran a few errands for villagers, and I also did my usual things like digging up the fossils I saw.
After a bus ride out to the city, I ended my game for the day.
Her eyes were so big, you’d think she was just freshly squeezed. She definitely looked juiced.
The starving artist promptly slurped it down.
He then gave me the mystery circle D pattern. That is the last of the four patterns that I needed to make my mystery circle! Well, it’s probably better known as a crop circle. I placed one over by the museum, although I’m not sure if this will be its permanent (or only) location just yet.
I (accidentally) found out that you can also use the crop circle patterns to make a letter “S” or even just some wavy snake-like designs around town.
Over by Able Sisters, Kitty told me that Benedict and Nan have been fighting lately. Being the great friend that Kitty is, she hopes they never get it sorted out. Because she enjoys seeing them throw pecan pie at each other!
I went inside Able Sisters to get a couple of designs out of storage. Since it’s summer now, I put two bikinis on display for my animal villagers! One is a star bikini and the other is rainbow-colored. I don’t know who created these bikini designs, since they were given to me by friends who got them from other friends. But I hope my animals start wearing them soon. It’s pretty funny when you see a male villager wearing something like this. 😀
And just in case you want to see what my current pattern slots look like (or if you want a closer look at the bikinis), here you go.
Static asked me to make a delivery to Poncho, so I did. He told me he was glad it finally arrived…and then he told me to punch him. So I did.
I started looking around for Static…and then I remembered he was in his house today. 😛 When I told him I made the delivery, he rewarded me with a tartan rug.
