Seeing Wendell’s Eyes

Wendell ambushed me as I came out of Nook ‘n’ Go tonight, asking me for some food. I didn’t have any food on me, so I tried giving him some medicine I just bought. He wasn’t happy that I gave him something inedible, but at least I got a rare glimpse of his eyes.

Wendell: Wh-wh-what is this? I-I-I... I can't eat this!In that picture, you can also see that the northern lights were up in the sky tonight.

Even though I bought that medicine without a specific purpose, I quickly found a use for it. Kitty was sick with a cold, so I gave it to her. How’d she get sick so quickly after moving in? Is she allergic to animals? 😛

Kitty flips as she takes her medicine.Tank asked me to give him a new catchphrase, because he was tired of saying “kerPOW.” I can’t blame him. I nearly told him to say “tank you,” but then I changed my mind. Instead, I got him to say “on my horn.” While it hasn’t produced any particularly funny sentences just yet, it has potential.

Tank: People will get so pumped when they hear it, their forehead veins will bulge out, on my horn!Tank also asked me to catch a pill bug for him, and I agreed to help out. I found one in the very first rock I banged! When I took it back to him, he rewarded me with 520 bells.

The video I mentioned last week is now complete and online! It’s a compilation of clips that are funny, entertaining, or otherwise interesting. Most of the clips are from the past 8-9 months or so, but one of them is an oldie that dates all the way to 2009! Here is ACCF – City Folk Moments.

For more City Folk videos (I’ve made 118 others so far), see ACCF Videos. I’m also adding this link to the menu of the blog. So anytime you’re in the mood to re-live some ACCF memories (whether it’s online gameplay, a town tour, a glitch, or a holiday), you can easily hop right in!

Tank Fight

As I started up the game tonight, I spotted the northern lights up in the sky (along with a new moon). So I stopped to enjoy the sights and take a picture.

The northern lights and a new moon in Animal Crossing: City Folk.I began my usual walk around town, and Coco was also talking about the aurora up above.

Coco: You can see the aurora! Isn't it lovely?!
But how do YOU see it without eyes?

There was a new house in town, but I was not happy to see who was inside: It was Kitty. I’ve had her in my GameCube town before, and I was not a fan.

Kitty: Well, the rumors are true! I am the newly arrived Kitty that the whole town is talking about!
Are you the mayor’s new secretary?

I hope she doesn’t stick around long. I’m taking a good look and hoping it’s the last time I see her. Someone should put her on a yacht and send her seaward (if any Arrested Development fans catch my drift).

Tank asked me for some beige furniture, and I wasn’t sure what to give him. I checked the furniture on sale at the shop, but the only thing close was the computer (since the wooden desk it was on was beige-ish). I bought it and took it to Tank, but it wasn’t beige enough for him.

Tank: Dude, old dog, it's obvious computer furniture is what ignites your fired-upness.Tank: I want a beige! So, try flexing your head muscle real hard and remember that! That was pretty rude of him, especially when I just bought him a computer! Who turns down a free computer?! But if I can’t give him “a beige,” then I’m going to give him some black and blue.

Tank: The weight of my muscles crushed the planet! AWESOME!
Get rekt.

But despite that ordeal with Tank, I had a good night overall. I recorded two more clips for my upcoming video, and I should now have everything I need. All I have to do is put it all together and wrap it up. Look for it next week. 🙂

Big Snowballs

As expected, I received Twiggy’s goodbye letter in the mail today. She said that we were BFFs, and that’s a Big Fat Fabrication. But I won’t hold it against her. She was a tweet sweet villager to have around, even if she was a bit of a birdbrain.

Twiggy's goodbye letter in Animal Crossing: City Folk for Wii.There was a meteor shower tonight, so I stopped to watch several shooting stars go by.

A shooting star flies by overhead.Broccolo was outside, talking about how much he loves flowers. He said he hopes a kajillion flowers pop up. But where he was standing, it looked as if gold roses popped up all around him. All you could see was his head.

Broccolo, surrounded by gold roses: I hope a kajillion different flowers pop up!A few minutes later, Broccolo had a fight with Static. Broccolo was still mad about it, and he warned me to watch out when a normally mellow guy starts to get angry.

Broccolo: When a mellow guy gets mad, everybody better WATCH OUT!Chow asked me to find a barbel steed for him, so I did a little fishing. Fortunately, a barbel steed was one of the few fish that I caught, so I took it back to him. Chow rewarded me with 520 bells, not surprisingly.

Chow: Reward time! Here's 520 bells. I only wish I had more for you, up a tree. You may have noticed a really big snowball in that picture. It actually looks like it’s hovering, but that’s besides the point. I was rolling up two huge snowballs to push them into the river.

Two huge snowballs on the bank of the river. They made a big splash when I pushed them in, but it didn’t quite resemble a snowman like I hoped. Oh well, it’s fun playing around with huge snowballs anyway.

A big splash as I push huge snowballs into the river.Tank was sick with a cold, so I went to Nook ‘n’ Go to buy some medicine for him. I’m not sure how such a big guy can do a backflip, especially when he’s not feeling well.

Tank backflips as he takes some medicine.
Tank? You’re welcome.

Thanks for stopping by. Just a heads-up that I’m working on a new ACCF video, so keep an eye out for it in the next few weeks. 🙂
