Empty Cookie Jar

Cookie officially moved out of Forest today. I got her goodbye letter in the mail.

Dear Jeff, Wah, Jeff! Today is finally the day I leave Forest forever. Thanks for being such a great BFF! Take care! -Yours, CookieOver by town hall, Melba talked about Brian and said he looked like a sled dog. A sled dog?? I don’t think I’ve heard that one before.

Melba: He looked like a total sled dog to me, if you know what I mean. And a message posted on the bulletin board told about the New Year’s countdown and celebration starting on December 31st.

~Notice~ The countdown starts on the morning of December 31st in front of the town hall! Ring in the new year with your beloved mayor!Even if you don’t play as the clock strikes midnight, remember to play later on January 1st to get your New Year’s shirt for 2014. It’s the only day that shirt will be available.

Packaged Cookie

In an act of defiance, I rolled up a large snowball and hurled it into the ocean from whence it came.

Pushing a large snowball into the ocean.I found Saharah in town, looking for old wallpaper.

Saharah: I want old wallpaper! I give to you lovely new ones.So I started asking around. When I got to Cookie’s house, I saw that she’s all packed up and ready to move out.

Cookie: Champ! I've been waiting for you! I totally wanted to thank you for all the help you gave me.Octavian was the only animal who had wallpaper for me. But that turned out to be okay, because I had two of them in storage. So I took the three of them together back to Saharah, and she gave me a classroom wall. It wasn’t one I needed, and it wasn’t one I wanted either. Oh well.

The classroom wall on display in my house.

Christmas Eve

It’s Christmas Eve, the night that Jingle comes to town. I found the black-nosed reindeer on this snowy night and asked him for something huge. He gave me a piece of Jingle furniture.

Jingle: It's like, you know, who doesn't like HUGE stuff? The object of this holiday is to keep finding Jingle over and over to get as much Jingle furniture as you want. But there’s a trick to it: You have to keep changing your hat or accessory to make him think you’re a different person each time. City Folk differs from other Animal Crossing games in that Jingle can hide inside animals’ homes (the houses with no lights turned on).

Jingle, inside a villager's house: Ah! I've been spotted...So I kept an eye out for Jingle, but I talked with some of my villagers as well. Octavian was a bit confused by the greetings and didn’t know what to say. Say “Merry Christmas,” Octavian.

Octavian: Hey there, my liege! Merry-- No, wait... Happy-- How does it go?When I talked to Lily, she said the countdown was on. At first I thought she was looking ahead to New Year’s, but that’s not the case. She was actually referring to the countdown to open presents.

Lily: The countdown is on... The countdown to presents, that is!!After finding Jingle four times tonight, he gave me two Jingle dressers, a Jingle sofa, and Jingle shelves.

My large festive tree (Christmas tree) and four pieces of Jingle furniture in my house.I sold the four furniture pieces for a total of 48,960 bells. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
