Last night, I went to check on my tiny snowman before he disappeared. He was confident he was going to live a long, fulfilling life. I didn’t have the heart to tell him he’d be dead in a few hours.
Then tonight, I took a late-night stroll around town to water my flowers. I saw Rowan across the river and waved at him. This is a feature that didn’t make it into New Leaf.
Many of the animals in town were talking about Christmas. Elmer hasn’t decided what he wants yet, but he said he’s going to send the chubby dude (Santa, of course) a letter soon.
However, Octavian had something else on his mind; he asked me find a squid for him! I don’t know if he wanted a date, dinner, or a pet.
An invisible Cookie, who was actually hiding behind a cliff, told me she was going to move out of town. I hardly ever talk to her anyway, so I didn’t try to stop her.
Ribbot then asked me to make a delivery to Lily for him. The gift was a caveman tunic, which she didn’t seem thrilled with. Can’t say I blame her.
I returned to Ribbot and told him I made the delivery. He rewarded me with a pachira. I then went up to The Roost to hear K.K. perform a song. I let him choose the tune and he played K.K. Mambo for me. And with that, I wrapped up my night in Forest.
I tried pushing them on top of each other just like that, but it wouldn’t let me. They were still too small to be used for snowmen, so I pushed them around a little bit before creating a small snowman. He wasn’t happy with his appearance.
Then today, it was snowing in town. Ribbot was so excited that he started eating the snow. No, your stomach will rust!
I found two more snowballs while making my walk around town. I decided to try making a bigger snowman. And I did…but this one wasn’t happy with his appearance either. I think I made his head a tiny bit too small. Fail.
I went in Lily’s house to say hello, and she told me how she used to worry all the time in her previous home. Maybe because of Del?
Octavian asked me to catch a red snapper for him, so I started fishing in the ocean. But before I could find a red snapper, I found something better: a coelacanth!
After several trips back and forth along the shoreline, I eventually caught a red snapper. I took it to Octavian, and he rewarded me with a tartan rug.
I made a late-night walk around town tonight. On the way, I saw Octavian across the river, so I waved to him.
I crossed the bridge to talk to him, and he asked if it was funny for him to be carrying a net around. Uhh… you’re an octopus. Of course it is! But he insisted that he used to be a dung beetle-catching champion. I guess that’s just how he rolls.
Later on, I saw Lily and Elmer acting suspicious. I snuck up on them and quickly spoke to Lily…
I haven’t seen a frog look that surprised since Slippy Toad accidentally sat on a space mine.
