Saharah’s Return

While in the city today, I saw Tom. He is one of my favorite villagers in my GameCube town, but he has yet to move into my City Folk town. Maybe someday.

Tom: There are a lot of reasons to come to the city, but my favorite is the moment the lights turn on at night. When I went into Nook’s, I saw he had a skeleton for sale. This is certainly the right time of year for a skeleton, so I bought it for my house.

Tom Nook: That's today's special, hm? Yes, a skeleton!I also ran into Saharah in Forest today. She was looking for old wallpaper.

Saharah: Others give you old wallpaper, and you give to me!As I started asking my villagers for old wallpaper, I finished up placing my new path down. I copied the pattern to my spots where I had the horizontal and vertical paths, so those changed automatically. So corners and intersections were the only ones I had to change manually. One good thing about this brick path is that only one pattern is needed. My previous path needed 11 patterns.

Standing by a bridge, admiring the orange and brown brick path.Sydney ended up being the only animal who had old wallpaper for me. But fortunately, I had two in storage from last time, so I had the three required for a rare wallpaper. I took them to Saharah and she gave me an office wall.

Saharah: Here...an office wall. Very exotic... Treasure it. It is a very rare thing. The office wall looks okay, but it certainly wasn’t worth all that effort tracking all my animals down. Oh well.

Bricks, Blanca, and…Bricks

In the Able Sisters’ shop today, they had a crown. It costs 1,000,000 bells…no thanks.

Mabel: That's a crown. The price on that item is 1,000,000 bells. The blue brick pattern I made yesterday may look good, but it isn’t the best fit for this time of year with the grass the way it is now. But I changed it up and made it orange and brown to match the fall season (and Halloween). How do you like it?

My orange and brown brick path in Forest.I talked to Sydney and she asked me for a new greeting. I had her say G’day mate.

Sydney: G'day mate! It almost sounds like I'm speaking a foreign language, on my lap! Then I saw Iggly; he asked me about Jorge.

Iggly: ...Something about that kid totally screamed fish freak. Know what I mean? Then, while shaking a tree… *gasp* …bees! “Beads?” “BEES!” I tried to run into Nook ‘n’ Go for cover, but I didn’t quite make it. Interesting how the bees went up under my helmet.

I got stung by a bee! Ow! Ow ow ow!I talked to Bob and he commented on my mangled face.

Bob: Whew... You're looking rough, J-rock... Shaking trees is dangerous business!I talked to Booker, and he indicated a mysterious cat was in town. That means Blanca.

Booker: I believe a mysterious cat came through here and into town...The problem was that I couldn’t find her! I made three complete trips around town and didn’t see her! But shortly after I (temporarily) gave up, I spotted her, without a face.

Blanca, with a blank face: Do you think my face says "serious"?She asked me to draw a fancy face for her. I generally don’t spend much time on Blanca’s faces, mainly because it serves no purpose. It makes no difference what you draw. Besides, she will be gone the following day regardless. So even if you made a great face, you’d never see it again anyway, so what’s the point?  So I put a minimal amount of effort into making a fancy face for her.

A smiley face pattern with blue hearts as the eyes.Blanca, with a ridiculous face with giant heart-shaped blue eyes.Later on, I was checking for the UFO. I didn’t know if it was a UFO day or not, thanks to Blanca’s presence, but I checked a few times just to be sure. The UFO never came, but I did shoot down a floating balloon present. It contained a brick block.

Blue Bricks

I took the bus to the city today, and I saw my former neighbor Frankengaga Francine there.

Francine: I wanted to talk fashion! Then, I went into the theater to check this week’s emotions. I was disappointed by the lack of Frillard emotions once again.

Clerk: What show would you like to see today? After riding the bus back to Forest, Avery asked me to deliver a package to Del for him.

Avery: OK, so we're set. Just walk this over to Del's place, in the air!I found Del by the Able Sisters, and I gave him the package. It was a biwa lute.

Del: A biwa lute? That takes me back. Avery's got a memory like an elephant!I returned to Avery, and he gave me a white boom box for completing the delivery.

Avery: Uh, I really appreciate the help. You're a stand-up human! I guess most humans stand up, though...I finished watering my flowers, but I didn’t find any new black roses today.

Then I started looking through my patterns and began experimenting with the gold brick pattern. I decided to make it blue instead. I like how it turned out and I’m considering using it as my path all over town. What do you all think? Do you like it or no? Please leave a comment below. Here’s a picture of it.
