Kitty’s Big Bass

As expected, I received Purrl’s goodbye letter in the mail when I started up the game tonight. So long, Purrl!

To: Jeff, I've decided to move away from Forest. It's hard to say bye to good friends like you. So I won't. Because I'm SURE we'll meet again somewhere! -From: Purrl

The fishing tournament was held today, although I played much too late to participate. I missed it by about six hours, in fact. 😛 Chip informed me that Kitty hauled in a 40.8 inch sea bass to secure the win.

Chip: Kitty from here in Forest! Solid fishing! But not so much for you. Nyuuk nyuk!

Barely before midnight, I made it to the Roost just in time for K.K. Slider’s last performance of the night. I asked for a random song, and he played K.K. Rock for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Rock.

Wolfgang was sick with a cold, so I went over to Nook’s to buy some medicine for him.

Wolfgang prepares to take some medicine in Animal Crossing: City Folk (ACCF) for Nintendo Wii.

Even though I wasn’t happy about Wolfgang sending me on a wild goose chase a couple weeks back, I have to admit that he is growing on me…just a bit. 😛

If you haven’t seen it already, here is the video that I posted last Sunday: City Folk Moments #11:

I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend. See you next time!

Purrl’s Departure

There’s some sad news to report from Forest tonight. Purrl is moving away, after 7+ months in town.

Purrl: No, no! I'm sorry! I didn't mean it! It's just that I'm moving away soon...so I'm a little fragile.

She is one of my favorite snooty villagers in the whole series, and I hate to see her go. But on the bright side, I do still have her in my 2nd town of Mushroom.

I got to see inside the doghouse house of my newest villager Walker for the first time, and I like what I saw. It looks comfortable in here…even if neither of the sofas are facing the TV. 😀

It’s Saturday night, so that means K.K. is in town. I let him pick a song, and he performed K.K. Faire for me! I always enjoy that one. 🙂

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Faire.

Bones asked me to catch a dace for him, and I agreed to help. It actually only took me three tries to catch one. I returned it to him, and he thanked me with a Persian wall. That seems to be a common reward to get from villagers.

Bones: Yesss, a dace! Thank you soooo much for making my fish dream come true, Chill J!

I posted a video today featuring the best of my City Folk Moments series. I hope you enjoy the look back at some memorable moments. 🙂

I also plan on posting a new episode of City Folk Moments tomorrow, so stay tuned for that. See you all next time! 🙂

3 Dogs, 3 Cats

I found a new dog walking around town, and his name is Walker.

Walker: Hey, nice to meetcha! I'm Walker, and this is my very first time living on my own!

The interesting part is that he was already outdoors and not unpacking. I must have missed his house when I played last week. But his arrival means that Forest now has three dog villagers, to go along with three cat villagers! There’s not much species variety in town right now.

  • 3 dogs (Goldie, Bones, Walker)
  • 3 cats (Tom, Purrl, Kitty)
  • 2 pigs (Gala, Rasher)
  • 1 penguin (Puck)
  • 1 wolf (Wolfgang)

I went to the Roost tonight, to check out another dog: K.K. Slider. I asked him for a random song, and he performed K.K. Safari for me.

After the show, I listened in a conversation between Tom and Bones. No, they weren’t fighting like cats and dogs, but they were talking about food. Bones told Tom that yesterday, he ate some fruit salad with cream, and then shortcake with honey for dessert.

Bones: Then, for dessert, I had shortcake topped with honey! Delicious, woof woof!

Leave it to Tom to turn that into something negative. He said that just hearing about all that food gave him heartburn, and he stormed off angry.

Not much else was going on, so I went around shaking trees. I actually got stung by bees four times! I’m so used to catching bees wasps in New Horizons, and the technique used in that game doesn’t work in City Folk. So I’m out of practice with ACCF bees. 😛

I did find two furniture items that were up in trees, though: a tea tansu and a pinball machine.

Have a good night, and I’ll see you next time!
