When I started up the game tonight, I was genuinely puzzled to see Mayor Tortimer standing outside of town hall. I knew it wasn’t a holiday, and it wasn’t Bug-Off day in this game (since it was held last week)…and Tortimer doesn’t host the Bug-Off in this game anyway. But he was there because the autumn moon (aka the harvest moon) was today.
He gave me a wheat bundle for the occasion. Thanks, Tortimer! Of course I later sold it at the shop…but not for a dollar, because it wasn’t buckwheat.
I wanted to take a screenshot of the autumn moon, and I considered several locations around town. But I ultimately decided to snap the photo outside of the museum.
Inside the museum, I went down to the Roost. K.K. Slider was there for his usual Saturday night show. I asked him for a random song, and he performed “Aloha K.K.” for me.
After the show, Cube asked me for a new catchphrase and I told him to say “in a tray.” I then listened in on a conversation between him and Bluebear. Bluebear asked Cube if he had any recommendations about where to go on vacation. Cube started off by saying he didn’t used to like the snow much, but then he got sidetracked and talked about eating the snow. Bluebear got surprisingly angry that he went off on a tangent, even though it honestly wasn’t bad at all.
Shortly after that, I went into Felicity’s house. I was surprised to see that she was all packed up in boxes. She’s moving out without warning, but I’m not upset about it.
When I circled back around town, I spoke with Tortimer again. He said he loves the moon because it makes him feel round too.
