Benedict sent me a letter, thanking me for the medicine I took him when he was sick recently. He included a gift (a Florence flask) with the letter.

Alli was telling me how much she enjoys catching bugs tonight: She walks quietly with her net out and then pounces. But she’s an alligator; why does she need a net? And why doesn’t she go after larger prey?

Meanwhile, Aurora was more enamored with fossils.

I ran into Static, and he seemed to notice the Florence flask in my pocket for some reason. He offered to give me a shirt for it. Not a very fair trade, but I agreed to the exchange just to be nice.

Shortly after 9:00 tonight, the skies came to life. I enjoyed my view of the northern lights from one of my town’s bridges. This is the first time I’ve seen them this winter.

I finished up my night with a visit to the Roost. I enjoyed a live performance of K.K. Casbah before saving my game.

Tonight, Alli told me she lost the key to her house. I had no interest in helping her out, though. Nothing personal, I just think these key-fetching quests are annoying. I’m glad these didn’t make it into New Leaf.

Benedict was still sick today, so I gave him some medicine.

I found a new house in town, and it belongs to Tutu the bear. She seemed a bit offended that I just walked into her house. This is a video game. Get used to it, honey.

Broccolo asked me to find a fossil for him. Apparently, he thinks fossils are like candy that grows in the ground. I was feeling generous (and I had a T-rex skull in my pockets), so I granted his wish.

Twiggy asked me to deliver a present to Jay, and I decided to help out. It was a shirt, and Jay said that the neck hole was a little small. Still, he decided to wear it anyway to be nice. He said he’ll just try not to swallow.

I got Friga’s goodbye letter in the mail today. She insisted that we’ll see each other again someday. Maybe she’s just going south for the winter. Way south.

Chow got really mad at me, and I didn’t quite know what was going on. But then he mentioned the brown stuff that he asked me to get for him. Oops.

But when I spoke to him again, he apologized. But I don’t think he was truly sorry. I think his apology was full of…brown stuff.

Jay was daydreaming about fish, and it was a little creepy. Okay, a lot creepy.

It’s Saturday night, so I headed to the Roost to check out some live music. I asked for a random song and K.K. played K.K. Ballad for me.

When I went to visit Benedict, he was coughing and sneezing.

Is he sick? Or is he just faking it so that he doesn’t get cooked and eaten? Now that I’ve made him start calling me Colonel, I’m sure he has nightmares about being chased by Colonel Sanders. (Credit to bearnicorn for drawing the picture at that link).
