Friga’s Farewell

When I went in to visit Friga tonight, I saw that all her furniture was in boxes. She is all packed up and ready to move out of town. She’s been in Forest for a relatively long time. Of course I still have Aurora–a penguin I like better–so it’s not a huge loss. Friga isn’t bad though. Although she does seem to think that igloos can be used for transportation… 😛

Forest just got a bit less birdy.

Chow was standing in the snow outside of his house tonight. He asked me for something brown.

Uh… I’d rather not.

Alli asked me for a pill bug, so I banged a few rocks around town until I found one. When I took it back to her, she rewarded me with some ranch flooring.

RUU_5530-smPascal was standing on the southern bridge, but I didn’t have any scallops on me (or in storage). But I combed the beach and found one! I took it back to Pascal and he gave me a helm in return. But not before he gave me some questionable words of wisdom. Actually, they were a bit of a letdown this time.

You do know mirrors are a thing now, don’t you?

Benedict asked me to make a delivery to Mott, but it took me a while to find the (apple) saucy lion. After the delivery was complete, Benedict gave me a mosaic wall for my trouble. He also called me reliable, so I had to change my plans about frying and eating him.

Benedict has had plenty of time to unpack, but his house was still under construction.

Letter-Writing Campaign

Friga was telling me about how she enjoys catching bugs…in igloos. Really? I didn’t think there would be many bugs in igloos! 😉

RUU_5524-smJay was still sick today, so I bought some more medicine for him. But I wonder if it just made things worse…it seems that he’s seeing stars now!

RUU_5525-smChow may not have been sick, but he was sneezing when I talked to him. He said that we should start a letter-writing campaign to stop pollen once and for all. It felt like he was about to ask me to collect signatures for a petition (like in New Leaf)! Maybe this is where the idea came from.

RUU_5526-smIn the south (part of town), Benedict asked me for a new catchphrase. Maybe he’d quit clucking around and respect me more if he thought I was Colonel Sanders! So I told him to say Colonel as his catchphrase. Now I just need a white beard and then I can threaten him by saying he looks finger-lickin’ good!

Bird Town

Jay was sick with a cold today, so I bought some medicine and took it to him. He flipped for it. Get better soon, Jay. I hate seeing you so blue.

I see a little birdie.

I visited Aurora, and we had a chat about rock music. She said she appreciates the rock lifestyle, but it’s not for her. Apparently, she doesn’t look good in spandex.

RUU_5519-smBroccolo and Static were having a conversation right behind my house, and it didn’t make much sense to me. Broccolo wondered if a nightcap would taste good if you soaked it in rice milk. What a weird mouse.

RUU_5520-smA bit later on, I ran into Static again. He asked me for a new greeting. I couldn’t think of anything good, so I just told him to say “I’m electrifying.”

Static is electrifying.I then went snowball fishing! Well, not really. I pushed a snowball into the river, and for a moment, it looked like a fish started to make a move for it. But of course, the fish didn’t bite down. But maybe it should have; that’s the closest thing to ice cream a fish is going to find!

Snowball fishingMy newest neighbor Benedict was walking around with his net out, apparently hunting for bugs. Then he let out his dung beetle call: Uh-hoo!

I hope that's not your nickname for your girlfriend.

I just realized that half of my town’s villagers are birds! There’s Jay, Twiggy, Aurora, Friga, and Benedict! And sometimes I’m a bit of a bird-brain myself!
