Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Day 84

For the first time, I've decided to participate in the Happy Home Challenge. It's a contest where everyone competes to make the best house to fit a specified theme. This time, the theme is "An attack of the invaders."

Tom Nook was dressed up as a king (keep dreaming) and he told me how it works. Two new pieces of furniture are unlocked, but you are not required to use them in your design. The two new items are a giant ant and a UFO. The UFO is really cool: It's like the flying saucer, but larger (3x3) and much more detailed.

But I decided to make the outdoors of the property focused on the ants. King Nook was trying to have a little picnic when some unwanted visitors showed up! Fearing for his life, Tom Nook called in a Monster Hunter to fight off the giant critters, yes yes. If the cannon doesn't work, the Monster Hunter may have to use his Red Wing sword. But really, what's the worst that can happen: Tom Nook gets eaten? Hmm, who should I be rooting for? I cant decide.

Indoors, I used the new UFO and a bunch of wheat fields to make this spooky scene. I did something like this in City Folk before, as some of you may remember. Too bad I can't use the Alien Mii in Happy Home Designer!

After abducting Tom Nook, the aliens concluded there is no intelligent life on Earth.
